  • Functional and mostly fun

Memoir 44 style game is great. Really enjoy the functionality.

Buttons are really small on iphone and there’s no option to make adjustments. This has led to some incorrect button selections as I do not use a stylus.

Other feedback is auto-rolling for the AI feels like a good way to save some time.

  • Extremely disappointed

Half the reason people want to play a game like this is to engage in different scenarios to see how they progress. Having to completely set up each scenario first makes the gaming experience more tedious and less enjoyable

Hi, In every scenario, units are generated & placed (with intelligent randomness on placement) automatically for you at the start of the game during the SETUP phase. If you press the exit setup button (shown top left) you don't need to place units but can accept whatever is currently shown.
  • Very disappointed

I want to see if this game matches the reviews and it’s very disappointing. If I’d known that I’d have to actually set up the battle scenario I wouldn’t have purchased the game. Definitely not worth the money
  • Great wargame!

This is awesome, I like how units have both morale AND skill ratings. Too many tac games combine those into a single TEM factor, which fails to capture a lot of situations (like high morale or fanatical troops with poor equipment and training - which is basically ever Russian unit there ever was). I would give my left nut for some Eastern Front scenarios!

Glad you like it! Reducing a unit's Morale results in the unit being less effective hence suppresses the unit's ability to move or fight. Skill reflects the quality of the unit. The Normandy landings found the US paratroopers fighting many German conscripts (e.g. captured Russians pressed into service) so these were less effective at combat.
  • Great game - when it works

Consistently crashes when I load a saved game, which I have to do a lot since I don’t have hours to play through a single scenario. When it works right, it’s great. Will change my rating if/when bugs are fixed.

Please reach out to me using the support menu or email manowargoblin@gmail.com & I can look into why your save games are not loading for you as I'm not aware of any issues at the moment with saves.

  • Looks real good with good attention to details.

Update: excellent after update! I can see the maps detail better and the colors are real nice. Thank you for the PDF manual! And for not using the eye strain gray font on white background like dumb Corp. America! The look and feel of Skirmish 1944 takes me back to the good ole Grognard days back last Millennium. If you’re into military strategy games, give this one a try. I’m finishing the game I first started and am enjoying it much. Thank you!———————————————————————————————--Looks real good with good attention to details. —— The manual, while being well done in concept, has some issues. Some map examples are too dark to see their details on the setup screen. At least one incorrect illustration was used where the Hex numbers in the text do not exist in the associated picture. I like the 4 types of line of site and armor rating on tanks for front/side and rear armor thickness. Manual would be more convenient if it was also in the app. Will update later after I’ve spent more time playing the board game. Max turns setting could use the ability to also be turned off.

Thank you for your review Eriptron. Version 2 is now out giving brighter maps, unlimited turns and multiplayer. Will continue to improve the manual to make things clearer but couldn't find the incorrect hex reference? There is a support page you can use to email me directly.
