Good app but some things need work
Neontra has an app but also a browser version, that has more functionality. I am giving it 4 stars because it meets all my basic needs, and I actually like the budgeting functionality, but I’ll mention a few things that don’t work for me:
- I have managed to sync it with BMO, TD, and Scotia, but NOT a credit union and NOT to my investment accounts. I do a simple balance update on my investment accounts once per month, I can’t be bothered to input individual stocks and I don’t see any benefits to doing so.
-I have a pre-tax employer matched savings account, and the best solution I can find is manually change my investment account balance every month, but this doesn’t reflect in the “savings” category of my budget. I like to be able to know I am saving a certain percentage of my income each month.
-I imported 2 years worth of data but then had to manually go through (easiest to do on the browser version) and mark all transfers between my accounts as transfers, not income and expenses.
-I have not been able to figure out the “goal” function, or why I should use “goal contribution” vs “savings” as a category.
-The forecasting function doesn’t work for someone like me that has fluctuating income and expenses. This makes all of the “insight” and “health check” functions produce whacky predictions. I wish there was a way to turn this off, or toggle it to historical instead of forecast.
-similarly the “neos” are totally weird and not applicable. For instance I have one that says “cannabis sector stock holdings are 22.9% of your holdings” and I don’t own a single cannabis stock.

Useless connection providers
Plaid don’t work with Canadian institutions (other than large ones). And Flinks is absolutely useless.
No WealthSimple, Tangerine, Rogers Bank… nothing better than a free app if you need to entry every expense manually..

Great app
The app may be a bit ugly but this service is great.
Cool app
I know little to none financial management but I enjoyed learning from this app and I found the app very useful
Everything at Your Fingertips
It was super easy to link my bank account and other investment accounts to the app to see my total net worth in one place and have it automatically sync so I can see my full financial portfolio in real time! The interface is appealing and easy to use. I would like to explore more features of the app including the simulator tool in the markets tab. I will continue using Neontra as a more efficient way to manage my finances—far superior to my current, archaic, spreadsheet method.

Easy to use and really modern aesthetics
Neontra its super away to use. Everything is simplified and the app's design is super convenient for Gen Z users, reminiscent of Instagram or TikTok but for financial aesthetics
Promising App with Some Bugs
The app starts strong with a user-friendly setup and visually appealing financial tools like net worth graphs and balance sheets. However, it's not without glitches. I've been logged out unexpectedly, encountered unresponsive help buttons, and faced issues with mislabeled financial entries. Despite these setbacks, I see great potential, especially with enhancements to the UI and navigation in future updates. A solid choice for those keen on managing their finances.

Good app!
Handy app used for budgeting and spending control needs a bit of work for ease of use but overall a decent user experience.
Good App - Needs a few Updates
I love this app for money management. The expense tracking made it super easy to see my spending habits, and is super useful for budgeting. The app doesn’t always auto sync so I have to log out then log back in for it to refresh. Hopefully they can fix this.
Not impressed
Still on the Trial. It looks like it would be a good Mint replacement but it crashes frequently and can’t seem to stay synced to banks.
