- Follow Lists - Notification Improvements - Deep Linking ## Follow Lists Just like you can follow other users, you can now follow lists! This applies to specific user’s lists as well as featured lists found on the 2nd tab. When you follow lists, they show up on your Profile page, under Lists → Following. On the notifications tab, you’ll receive notifications under the List Updates sub filter anytime a user adds to one of your following lists. Also, if you have push notifications enabled, you’ll also receive push notifications when something gets added. ## Notification Improvements To support list following, the notifications page got some improvements. - Sub filtering (All, Activity, Recommendations, List Updates) - New notification - Someone adds to a list you are following - New notification - Someone adds to a social list you are a part of - New notification - Someone is following one of your lists - Notification descriptions show more specific text (ex. John shared you a movie instead of John shared you an activity) - A red notification count indicator will show in the tab bar when you have a new notification ## Deep Linking You can now create direct links to any activity (movie, book, podcast, etc.) as well as your favorite lists and share them with friends. Anyone who has Freetime downloaded will automatically bounce to that page when clicking the link. For anyone who does not have Freetime downloaded, they be presented the App Store. Small Changes/Bug Fixes - Bug - Continue with Apple on Login page didn’t work - Bug - Following user wouldn’t update correctly unless you tapped on your Profile tab first - Bug - Couldn’t like someone’s activity log if it didn’t have an image - Added a maybe later button to the “Upgrade to Pro” popup. It is not my intention to fool users into subscribing to pro.

- Freetime Pro - Refreshed Profile View - Refreshed Settings View - Following Completions ## Freetime Pro I’ve spent quite a bit of time getting to this point. My goal is to deliver a premium product that makes it easier for you to discover, track, and share the media you’re consuming. Freetime Pro provides a nice balance of continuing to allow me to spend time toward that goal, while hopefully covering some of my basic costs. Key Features: - Ability to add notes to items in lists - Where to watch with links (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) - Direct links to Apple Podcasts, Apple Music, & Apple Books - Direct links to imdb, tmdb, etc. - Change list viewing mode (compact & standard) - Themes & icons - Support local ## Refreshed Profile View This is the profile view I am finally proud of. It’s never been easier to get a great glance at what you’ve consumed recently, what you’ve consumed over time, what lists you’re tracking your content in, and achievements. I think you’re going to love it! ## Refreshed Settings View Along with the ability to upgrade to Freetime Pro, came some slight improvements to the settings page. This will make it easier to maintain settings moving forward as new functionality is added. ## Following Completions Now when you click on an activity (movie, tv, book, etc.) you’ll see a blurb showing who of your following has completed that activity. It’s a nice touch that should make it easier to see what your network has completed.

- Achievements - Improved Profile View ## Achievements I think you’re going to have fun with this one! On your profile page, discover the all new achievements. Who doesn’t love achievements?! Mark 50 movies complete… ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Cinephile loading. Mark 25 tv shows complete… ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Walter White death count? Freetime is better when you complete what you’ve watched, read, listened to. It puts things front in center amongst your followers and gives them the ability to browse your profile and see what you’re up to. Achievements is an even better incentive to continue marking these off. ## Improved Profile View The improved profile view makes it much easier to get a holistic view on what you’ve been up to recently and all time. It does the same for those looking at your profile. Moving the activity section from its own tab to your profile page gives you access to view the same content for your followers. Curious what your friend has been up to this month or what books he or she has read over time? Now you can with the improved profile view. Bug Fixes/Small Changes - Submit feedback - couldn’t enter new line - When sharing item with another Freetime user, the list filters to just who you are following

- Push Notifications - Improved Activity View ## Push Notifications This should be a really cool one for anyone out there who uses the social aspects of Freetime. Up until this point, notifications were only in app (as shown by red indicator on the notifications button on the Home Screen). Now we’re getting native iOS push notifications. When users send you recommends, like your logs, comment on your logs, you’ll get push notifications right to your lock screen. I hope this brings Freetime to life! ## Improved Activity View Small changes to the activity tab (3rd tab) that should make it easier to get a glance at what you’ve done recently, over time, and by group. Bug Fixes - Weren’t able to tap the bubble when looking at lists of users Small Changes - Discover books users are recently completing - Discover board games users are recently completing

- Activity Rating - Improved Activity View - Global Activity Logs ## Activity Rating Now when marking a movie, book, podcast, etc. as complete, you’ll get an optional prompt to provide a rating and review. That rating and review will show up on your profile feed (new) and the feeds of users following you. It also shows up on the activity page itself. Other Freetime users will be able to read, comment on, and like those reviews. ## Improved Activity View The buttons got a much needed refresher. When an activity is not complete, the button will show “Mark as Watched” for movies, for example. As you check it off, the text animates to “Watched”, for movies. This provides some greater clarity as to when you have completed things or not. Some font sizes have been improved on the activity view as well, making the experience slightly better. ## Global Activity Logs On the home screen, I’m introducing global activity logs! You’ve always been able to see what your friends are up to in the Social Feed. Now, there’s an additional sub-tab, “Everyone”. Under everyone you can see all activity logs for any user in Freetime, giving you more inspiration and a better community feel within Freetime. Bug Fixes - Activity sub tab on the Profile screen now only shows things you’ve marked as complete. Previously, it was showing activities you’ve added to lists. - You can now search by first name when looking for users - If an emoji was used when commenting on an activity log, the texts size/attributes looked all wack.

- Profile Improvements - Account Deletion Small build this week. Big things on the way! ## Profile Improvements Viewing your friends profiles got an improvement with the all new Feed view. Just as you see a feed of what your friends are up to on the homepage, now you can see that same feed view for a specific user on their profile. You can also see a Follower and Following count on the profile page. Click on either Follower or Following to see the list of uses and navigate to their profile from there. ## Account Deletion App Store Review [Guideline 5.1.1](https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#5.1.1) provides people with greater control over their personal data by stating that all apps that allow for account creation must also allow users to initiate deletion of their account from within the app. This requirement was set to apply to all app submissions by January 31, 2022. Bug Fixes - Home page wasn’t showing the activity like when you liked/unliked a social activity log in your feed - Due to some unexpected TMDB API changes, the trending tab was crashing

- Tab Layout Improvements - Get Started Blurb - Activity Logging by Type - Smaller Changes/Improvements ## Tab Layout Improvements It was time to re-organize the tab layout a bit to help promote the best parts of Freetime. Freetime is social; it makes sense to promote what your friends are tracking on the home page. I think you’ll welcome the change. ## Get Started Blurb Freetime is great when you track activities, follow friends, and recommend activities to friends. A new Get Started blurb will appear on the Home Screen for users influencing them to complete a few starter tasks to help maximize Freetime. ## Activity Logging By Type Activity logging gets a cool update based on some user feedback. You can now group your activity logging by category in addition to time (week, month, year, all-time). This makes it much easier to find a list of movies you’ve watched or books you’ve read ## Smaller Changes/Improvements - Scrolling indicator now white - Can only add to a list once - Changed wording on activity actions (ex. Log Activity → Mark as Watched) - You now get an in-app notification when a user starts following you - Added Crashlytics - this will make it easier for me to support/troubleshoot when users have issues using the app - Removed the quick add button and quick add list setting as this caused too much confusion among users - Better blurbs when you’re not following users, your following users haven’t logged any activity, etc. Bug Fixes - App would crash if you followed more than 10 people - Would continue to increase the number of users it looked like you were sharing your list with - Shouldn’t be able to edit the random movie quotes description shown on activity log lists - Couldn’t share tv show episodes before - Couldn’t register with app after skipping login the first time
