I’ve been missing out

When this first came out and still had the kinks I haven’t went back, admittedly for years. I’ve used this 3 times and so far the ease on ordering and picking up has been fantastic! Still hiccups on looking up things probably more to my errors. Only suggestion I would have is to have more search words for a product. Other than that it’s perfect.

Needs some work

This app needs some work. I never seem to be able to take advantage of clipped coupons even though the app shows the coupon was clipped. Also the app does not sort and display isles logically. Why would you have not the app sort so that as move through the store you scroll from isle 1 to 2 then 3 and so forth instead of back and forth in the app. I cannot be the only person who finds this rather annoying.

You should be able to open the shopping card from wallet instead of having to log into the app just to scan your card.

Really grateful for this feature

The app is actually really easy to use, and it’s been a life saver a few times now. When I needed to save a lot of time because my dog had just had surgery, or when my entire family caught colds and nobody felt well enough to grocery shop, this app and pick up option has been a real blessing. Thank you so much. Just wish there was a feature in app to let staff know you were outside (it’s kind of hard to talk with a side throat haha). Thanks to the NBSD commissary for always making it a pleasant experience.

Navigation Problems

It is hard to navigate once you get to check out. It does not save cards so you have to put in your information every time. Also, when I try to type a product that I want to buy in into the search bar, it will come up with something totally different. I use Shop to go often so it couldn’t be too bad. I just downloaded the new app. I would recommend using Shop to go.

Thank You for the Updated Website!!!

Thank you for the updated website!!! Love how user friendly it is now and how easy it is to make changes as needed. I have waited for years for it to be this easy to order my groceries! Totally earned my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review! Keep up the great work! Appreciate all the hard work by all! Will certainly recommend to all my friends! I’m 67 years old and I was able to teach my 78-year-old friend how to use it! She was so happy.
Sincerely,

Convenient

I appreciate the click-to-go option for grocery shopping. I recently had surgery and am unable to drive. I go online and pick out what I want to purchase and my husband can swing by the commissary after he gets off work. The interface works pretty easy and I like that I can save the items I purchase frequently as favorites.

Needs a better search bar engine

Convenient and pretty straight forward. The search engine is terrible. If what you type doesn’t match the exact way the item is entered in the system the search comes up empty or not complete. The difference between spaghetti sauce and pasta sauce is 7 items to 23 items. Also if you misspell an item the search comes up empty instead of displaying suggested items based on what you searched. I would add a save for later option for items in the cart you may not want to buy but will forget to add next time.

Great prices and ambiance

The commissary has great prices, many times even better than Walmart. Better quality options as well. Pick up is seamless since I can go right after work and not leave my car. Only downside is they don’t have as great of a selection. But they have pretty good options and it’s clean and the workers are kind. It’s great to actually shop inside when I have time and I can feel comfortable shopping in uniform. I would definitely recommend!

SO SLOW AND UNSABLE

Like anything the government touches, this app is horribly slow to the point of being unusable and a waste of time. You would think a grocery app would care about making its main function β€” adding a product to your grocery list β€” a smooth task. I’ve spent more time staring at loading screens than cooking my dinner. The products are also not always up to date and I’ll often get to the store just to discover it’s no longer stocked or discontinued. I see our tax dollars did not go towards hiring qualified software engineers!

…to Really Screw Things Up Requires the Government

As bad as the old commissary app was, this one is 10 times worse. Well, the interface is all modern and sexy. Likely designed by a Gen Z who’s only connection with the military is that they once watched Top Gun. The operation of the app is absolutely horrible. Impossible to clip all the digital coupons you want unless you have the lifespan of Methuselah. In the old app, you could clip all of the available coupons easily (sometimes) and be done in a matter of minutes. This new interface requires you to click, slide, click, wait, slide, wait, click, slide. Wait, wait, and then wait some more. It would be faster, if they still existed, to clip coupons out of a newspaper sort them and then dig through them as you go shopping.
