Anything below a three is crazy ‼️‼️

This game has amazing graphics, tops any other Hoyoverse game in that regard. The gameplay is fun and immersive, the storyline is fun and not crazy complex. It’s retro, it’s fun, it’s beautiful. It has elements that are only events in other Hoyo games. The agents are well designed and fit in the world. It seems more realistic, you can find them around the maps and gain friendship from talking to them. The bouncy animation is so fluid and bubbly, it’s a joy to watch as an artist and I’m always mesmerized by each cutscene. The game is also generous and if you’d think another Hoyo games with gacha is boring, it’s not!! Surprisingly, they keep things interesting in the game with it. It’s not crazy stingy like Genshin, but not crazy generous like HSR where it feels like you aren’t working for it and it gets generic and boring. My honest opinion is this game could be hit or miss with anyone, but to me it’s super fun and worth at least a try. I love it!! 💗

No Signal

For myself, zzz is a delightfully fragmented game. The action based combat is visual treat and exciting to play, but the moments are short lived in comparison to everything else the game asks of you. While enjoyable in their own right, mechanics outside of combat feel disconnected from character collection - which arguably is the foundation of the game. The game compartmentalizes itself between modest exploration, combat, and a ‘mini-game-esque’ mode (the TV system) which is given far too much prominence imo. For all of the effort of acquiring and building characters, there is little return outside of combat. Stronger character integration across game modes may reflect the efforts of player’s investment and time. While I don’t mind the TV system, diversifying the way story exploration is presented and balancing the amount of time it requires compared to other areas of the game would go a long way to increase my enjoyment. As it stands, time with acquired characters is minimal as they have no role outside of combat - and time in combat is gated behind an energy system or the tv system. A stronger focus on combat and city exploration is my hope for the future of an otherwise incredible game.

I watch enough television

Could you add less of the TV thing? I have a screen time limit and the TV thing, plus dialogue, take up about three quarters of it. And also, I’ve been playing for almost two months, and I still haven’t gotten the Bangboo feature. (I want Bangboo, so move the story along.) I’m starting to think this game was waste of time and storage. But the only reason I’m keeping it around is so I can still have access to HoyoLab. Even that’s more interesting than this game. If you want more people to play, listen for once. Stop fixing feet models (?!) and fix the gameplay.

Amazing ride, blunted by endgame woes

This game feels incredible to play and runs beautifully on my 5th gen iPad, but once you finish the campaign you run into problems. Even if you pay money, you get to a point where, after 10 minutes of gameplay, you have nothing left to do that rewards you with any resources. The rouge-like mode stops awarding you with anything other than a handful of ancillary currency after you beat it a few times. That is a weekly cap. There are no other game modes that reward you with ANY resources once you beat them for the first time, so you’re forced to quit the game. Essentially, you log in, spend ten minutes spending your battery (an hour, tops, if you’re willing to spend $10 per day), then you quit. And let me be clear: I have spent about $40 on the game so far and I have enjoyed what I’ve played, but I’m at the point where there is nothing for me to do. There is no content I can play that gives me any rewards, so I have to quit the game and wait until tomorrow. This has really soured the experience for me, especially as a paying customer. Be warned: do not pay money for this game expecting it to reward you down the line. You are paying to play less of the game, not more. If I hadn’t paid any money, it would have taken me longer to beat the end-game content and I would have more gameplay to get through right now. Not good.

WHY IS EVERYTHING PITCH BLACK

I downloaded this game because I wanna try. I thought it’ll be a game like Genshin because I love Genshin Impact was playing then it said oh yeah you also have to delete some games and like OK yeah cause my storage has a lot of things so I don’t need some things and I was perfect to go then guess what the holy tire game turns pitch black I can’t even see the screen, little bit of character design I gonna play this game if it’s fully pitch black, and I can only see the character some green lights from the monster, but I couldn’t even see the whole room for the boss wide. I can’t even see anything in this game, this is the most lowest game I do not suggest but if it does work for you then good but still download the game because you know I don’t really care. Read it if you want to, but still the whole screen is black and when I when I started playing guess what the story mode was black too I didn’t lie about the whole entire but still why the heck is the whole screen black I mean, I can see that I can see the old team the dash the special attack and the fist and that’s all I see but guess what I don’t see a scream, just a black screen, and

That’s it for me

I gotta be honest: I wanted to love this game. Hopped on from day 1 and it was just mid right from the start. Characters were all a bunch of lolis and furrybait, like who is this game for Hoyo? PDF files? It’s just weird man… but OK I tried to ignore the weird children characters with scanty clothing, and all the furries, ending up with a crappy team but at least I’m not cringing anymore while playing. But then events come by, I finished chapter 1… 2… some part of 3, and it’s just bad the whole time. I mean the whole time time I’m just waiting for the game to get good. Combat is super simple button mashing dodge spamming with QTEs. The TV exploration is straight up PAINFUL to go through even with fast forward mode turned on. Characters, aside from their super cringy design, are also boring or annoyingly cartoony. The pity for rolls is somehow EVEN WORSE than other Hoyo games? Sorry but I’m not paying for this garbage, and the F2P currency gains are awfully low. I mean good luck rolling a good character unless you pay for this (seek help, friend). I’m tired and frankly, I’m done. Maybe completely done with Hoyo. With Wuthering Waves out with god tier combat and good (and not creepy) character designs, fun exploration, etc this just feels like a waste of time. Uninstalled, peace.

It’s an amazing game!

With the good graphics, interesting way of displaying the storyline and captivating characters, I’d say it’s a game worth playing. I like how easy it is to navigate through it, and honestly I love Billy’s personality. It’s like he’s there to light up the day, therefore creating a perfect trio of the team and making their shenanigans something to look forward to. It’s a shame some devices don’t support this game, given how fun it is to accompany the team throughout the interesting story, however I’m sure Hoyo will take care of that sooner or later.
What I’d like to point out is that the events of Zenless Zone Zero are doing a great job to pique the interest of cyber tech fans, such as me. Taking place in a world where technology is overruling, it shapes the timeline into a perfect cyber futuristic aspect which I’m sure many of us are fond of.

My Honest Opinion

I really liked the game since it’s kind of different from the other games HOYO has released, I personally think that it’s fun and easy and eventually becomes harder with the endgame content such as the Shiyu frontier or Hollow Zero, It’s pretty fun in my opinion since I like how there’s mechanics such as chain attacks but there are also some cons such as waiting out a chain attack since it can make you switch into a character that isn’t all that useful in your team, it was also confusing at the start because there were many mechanics. I also think that the tvs are kinda annoying but I liked the tv mini games that are later on in the story. Another thing is that I wish you could change to characters you own while walking around because it’s sort of boring to always see Wise or Belle walking around. I think there should also be some sort of way to change the time because later on you don’t get as much quests and they usually change the time when finished so in endgame you basically just do like 3 combats in the Hollow Deep Dive and it’s pretty annoying if your trying to raise trust. I think the gacha system is pretty nice though I wish you could twist it up and pick w engines as well. In Conclusion I think it’s a pretty good game that has a lot of potential but there are some minor things that should be added asap because it would help quality of life and most people can’t stand doing the same things over and over again.

Short but effective review

This game is actually difficult (more fun) and you need to be careful.
The Shiyu defence mode (MoC or Abyss or Red lotus hsr and genshin and honkai impact 3rd terms respectively) is hard to clear but more fun. Game has good story and fun mini quests (like the secret pokemon one). Hate is not deserved and this game competes with other titles like punishing gray raven and wuthering waves.

Only thing to say is that I think combat can be better for characters, like aerial mode for some characters.
