Better in Web Browser
Backgammon Galaxy is great for learning from the analysis after each game. Good for playing against friends as well. The app itself is kind of buggy though and if you don’t have a strong connection it will freeze without you knowing, with the clock still counting down. I now just play in the web browser as you can refresh if needed and doesn’t seem to have the general bugs.Show lessFelixvon
Beautiful Backgammon App
I recently got into backgammon, and am really enjoying it. This app makes discovering the game a real pleasure.
The user interface is gorgeous; I love the galaxy theme colors, avatars and emojis. I
also love how you can analyze your games move by move, and how clear the analysis is. Paid members get access to deeper analysis, but the shallow analysis for non-paid members is still quite accurate.
Yes, there are bugs occasionally, but the app seems to be actively updated.
I watch the founder of Backgammon Galaxy Marc Olsen on Youtube a lot, and I think he's a great ambassador for the game, which makes me appreciate the app more. I have learned so much from him, and I put all his ideas into practice using this app.Show lessSkinny_Kitty
App Doesn’t Reflect $$ Paid - Rip Off
I do enjoy the app and have on two occasions purchased additional coins. On the second attempt, nothing was credited though CC was charged. Followed up to no avail or response. I am out $13 which is no big whoop, but you can bet it’s the last time.

Whatever rolling algorithm they’re using is crazy
I’ve started to be able to call which rolls are coming because they happen so often. There’s way too high of a percentage of jokers and super jokers and anti-jokers. They must be trying to make the game more exciting or something but it actually takes the fun out of it. I play at about a 6 on average on XG, and I have years of experience playing gammon against high level players… the rolls on this app are definitely not purely random, no matter what they say in the description. Whether I win because of better/worse than average rolls, or my opponent does, the dice on this app definitely do not roll out to true average.Show lessNanananananananananananana
Glitchy platform and horrible customer service
This is such a frustrating backgammon platform. Constantly has glitches in connecting to their server and also but being able to press confirm when you make your move and forcing you to time out and lose your game. What’s worse is when you email customer service about the problem and try to get compensation for coins lost, they go MIA and you never hear back from them. What a scam.
And even when it works it’s not even that great. You can be matched up against any caliber of players and a lot of times can’t even get a game.

Head and Shoulders above the rest
Ignore the buffoons who leave bad reviews complaining about luck or dice. They’re simpletons who don’t know how the game works. I use this app every day and have had zero problems with it. The fact that the world’s leading players choose (you can fact check this for yourself) to use it should be a strong indication of how good the app is. The whole thing is run by a backgammon grandmaster.Show less24ozzo42
Best BG App
People are too hard on this app. This app and it’s creators are doing great things to grow the game of backgammon including taking over the World Championship in Monte Carlo. Fantastic!
If you just want to play backgammon or you want to get better at playing Backgammon this is the app to use. It is so convenient to have all the tools to play and improve your backgammon game on your phone to play anywhere, anytime. You can play strangers or a friend. There’s no real problem finding a game, the wait time is usually 5-20 seconds. There is a breakdown of every move available to study and a blunter database to identify your specific weaknesses and try and strengthen your game in those area. There is a slew of different customizable game boards and avatars that are fun to change up from time to time. This app has a well constructed user friendly interface. This is by far the best place to play backgammon. The developer continues to innovate and improve both the site and the app. I truly enjoy playing on Galaxy. It’s very nice how the app seamlessly connects with the site.Maximus4365
