  • Pay to win?!?

Great game but starting to get into the pay to win aspects of the game in most of the events you’d have to pay money to insure you get certain characters, packages to make stuff easier are becoming a bigger thing and far to many hero’s coming out making it harder to get unlockables for older hero’s, it’s sucky to see this starting to happen as one of the players who played when the game first came out. I could proudly say most of my guild was from the start of the game unfortunately most of them have decided not to log on anymore due to how much pay to win has become part of it. Mind you that 90% of it can be done not paying but it’s become grind like a job type of thing… I don’t know about some of the other people playing but me and most of my guild agree that we can’t maintain the hours of play required to progress along with manage jobs and other important aspects of our irl. Please try and find ways to patch some of the aspects that kill the fun of this game. New hero’s get added so frequently can’t earn anything for the older ones really. Perhaps implement system that won’t allow you to get fragments for hero’s that aren’t earned already.

  • Getting increasingly P2W

When I joined up through about 2 weeks ago, you could mostly get everything through grinding. You may need to pay the $10/month or whatever for the Adventure Pass, but hey, devs gotta make money somewhere!

Then the Druid event started and it was an RNG-laden slog for a hero you couldn’t get without a lot of luck or paying a lot of money. Then the new weapons event started, and it was almost 2x as much of a grind as anything that came before it. Someone did the math, and it’d take roughly 8-10 hours of grinding every day of the event to get the weapons F2P — but, if you wanted to decrease the grind, well a 1.5x game speed boost was introduced for only $11 per 2 weeks!

I had no problem throwing money at the devs when I could get everything by grinding and wanted to support them. But it’s kinda messed up to slowly just start ramping up the costs and forcing people to pay if they want the new content. Nah. I’m going back to something that isn’t going in quite so predatory a direction.

  • WORTH IT

I downloaded Heroes Vs Hordes after I saw an ad for it on another mobile game. It’s really fun and I haven’t been able to set my phone down for days. I just purchased the Premium No Ads Forever bundle for $20, and while that does seem like a lot, the benefits of no ads in Heroes Vs Hordes are actually REALLY beneficial. I don’t have to watch an ad to revive (only the first time), reshuffle my power-ups, or even double my rewards at the end. I give a lot of reviews stars when asked, but I rarely write out my thoughts. This game deserves those thoughts spoken out loud. If you’re looking for a reason to play this game or play without ads, this is it. It’s such a wonderful experience. Kudos to the developer(s), I love your game and I can tell you worked hard on it. Thank you for all you do.

  • Fun game, but game crashes lose tickets

I’ve been playing for a year, and I love everything EXCEPT Adventures. Adventures are multi-mission series that reward you with unique characters at the end. To start an Adventure you spend a Ticket. You get one ticket each day.

But because of frequent game crashes I constantly lose tickets. I haven’t gotten the unique character from an adventure in months because when I start a mission it costs a ticket, then the game crashes. They DO have a mechanic where if you start a regular mission and Immediately end it doesn’t cost you energy. If they had a mechanic where the Adventure Ticket is not deducted until the mission actually begins this would solve the problem.

I can’t give this gsme 5 stars until this problem is solved.

  • Great but greedy

This game could easily be a 5 star mobile game. The art is cute, game play is fun and hectic yet simple. However, they are way too greedy. The price points are astronomical and progression gets slowed to a slow grind without dropping hundreds. If gems and packs were reasonably priced I’d happily throw a few bucks at it but things are absurdly overpriced for what it is, to get a hero from their “lucky draw” system it’s easily $60-$100 for a BASE hero. The other way to unlock heroes is the adventure system which is locked by tickers that take 24 hours to regenerate… unless you pay and you have a certain amount of time to make it through the adventure so you feel pressured to pay if you want any worth it new heroes. Their lunar new year hero was $100 to unlock, like come back to reality….

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! We're thrilled to remind you that you can gather up to 3500 gems each month through quests and daily activities. With one free adventure ticket provided daily, the additional tickets you might need total approximately 1300 gems monthly. This setup ensures that players can secure the adventure hero without dipping into their wallets. We also made the Lunar New Year's Hero accessible purely through gameplay, ensuring everyone has the chance to enjoy new content. While in-game purchases do support the game's development and help us enhance your experience continuously, we're committed to maintaining a balanced and enjoyable game for everyone. Happy gaming! 💪
  • Do Not Play This Game

For anyone looking for an enjoyable F2P experience I’ll let you know that this game isn’t it. They only cater to people who have hundreds of dollars to spend on micro-transactions for the least of what is needed to even be able to play.

Characters require shards that are needed to level them up but then become capped at level 80, when you used to be able to get to level 100. Not that it matters because if you aren’t leveling up 5-10 different items and characters you won’t get far in the game.

I’ve been playing for almost 270 days now and I can tell you that yes, I have spent money on the game, has it gotten me any further in it? Absolutely not. I’m stuck at level 171 because despite being 3 stars and having the character item leveled up to 3 as well, it makes zero difference.

As well as the new character recently released will cost $110 just for the base and you can’t even get that by grinding everyday for the event tokens.

Everything costs money. Everything is capped. While it’s fun in the beginning it will drain you dry of everything and anything else. In this economy DO NOT spend your money on this game.

  • This game is amazing

This game is awesome. Each heroes fell great, you have a lot to buy on game currency. The weapons and skills are very fun. The game is free, but is very addicting, you will play a lot, so maybe is fine tu buy the $10 free apps, I think the game is worth.

What I want for the developers add. A multiplayer PVE, one leader will move the camera, and 2 maybe 3 more player will follow you. If the get out of the screen they will lose health. I really wants this. We have mage, warriors, tanks, assasing, shooters. This can add a really impact to the game

  • Not like the Ad

Downloaded this game thinking that it was like the ad I was shown. It is definitely it like the ad. I assumed it was going to be a game where you either play against the computer or other players and attempt to get bigger better weapons and fight each other. NOPE. Don’t get me wrong still like the game but it is a pay to win type game with tons of ads you have to watch to get stuff and stay alive. Won’t spend money in game but it is a good mind numbing thing to pass the 10 min it takes to burn through your limited energy before I have to watch more ads to play.

  • Another terrible ripoff of the last ripoff

This style of game is fun, but it, like all the copies that came before, it is a rip off of another game. When a devs decides to "take inspiration" from another game, it should be because they want to change something they saw as a flaw. What Heroes vs Hordes does is not that.

Like all the other copies, the user in bombarded with micro transactions, and apparently the developers think their game being ad free is worth $20 USD... when they receive less than a 0.01 USD per ad from the advertisers; the game would have to show you significantly more than two-thousand ads to make $20 USD, did I pay for no ads, no, of course not, I'm not an idiot.

There is nothing wrong with supporting a game that you like, but there is something wrong with a game prompting the user to spend $2-$20, potentially more, on every screen, and in my experience from just an hour, multiple times per screen; I believe the most Xs I had to tap to close requests for USD after going to new screen was four.

Gone are the days that app developers make a game that they would want to play, now the game is intended to pull as much money from the user as possible before the user realizes that the more they spend to progress, the more the game asks from them.

If you haven't installed it yet, don't bother, there's better copies out there.

  • New player, wasted all gems on a weird Gatcha

It seemed like an okay game. It showed me my time was running out for a spin to win a robot character. I had a little over 900 gems. 30 gems a spin for a robot seemed like nothing. I’d probably get it in 10 tries so about 300 gems of 900.
    So I tried four times.

Not because I wanted to stop, no… because it wanted 700 gems for the 5th spin and took all my gems. I decided I had enough of that game. That was some fudged up crockery. It didn’t explain the price would keep going up… multiplicatively. I felt extremely cheated but at least it helped me get over the game fast. I added a star because it wasn’t too bad.

Dear player, Thank you for your message and playing the game. The nature of the Lucky Draw is based on chance, which means that the outcomes can vary significantly for each player. Some players may obtain their desired heroes early on, while for others, it might take several tries. We aim to maintain transparency about these probabilities, and you can view the detailed chances for each item by clicking the "i" symbol next to the draw button. We appreciate your support and the feedback. We hope to see you again in the game!
