Come on man make an app
Works on the share sheet maybe 25% of the time. Now it just doesn’t even show up as an option. Hard to understand how a notes app that costs $15 a month can’t put out a functioning iOS app when every free one at least can do that. Like how is this not the ultimate priority? It’s 2023!
Pathetic
For an app that is a few years old and from a company that has raised millions, it’s really pathetic. Not sure what they’ve blown all that money on but it sure isn’t this app.
Getting better
It’s getting better . A little buggy and slow but one thing I like is it’s the same as desktop -it isn’t stripped down version like almost all other apps in this area .
But can we please add a widget for quick capture ? That way I could
Just not open app and add note very quickly .

Literally cannot work
It keeps saying “Before using the mobile app, create a graph on the desktop or web app”. I did and refresh times but it’s still not working. Also, the Support center is not working. The chat room lags so much and not helpful. How dare the app charge money with the sucks support center!💢
Why is this so mediocre?
The memory management, the search, there’s so much about this app that’s barely better than nothing. Months after release, it’s obviously not a priority
iPad Pro support?
I am new to Roam Research, so far I’ve accessed it online. With my iPad Pro (IOS 15.5) I can only access it through google chrome & not safari. However my iPhone X can only access Roam through safari & not Chrome?
I downloaded the Roam App from the store, the app will open on my iPhone X but not my iPad Pro. I also had to type in the same password several times for it to recognize it as correct.
As my iPad has a bigger screen that’s where I do all my work, will there be any support for the iPad Pro in future?
Kind Regards
Rowan

Can’t write with Apple Pencil
Roam Research is a fantastic tool, but doesn’t integrate to the iPad Pro very well. Unlike the browser version, I can not use the Apple Pencil to hand write notes, which is a bit of a drawback when working in offline environments and relying on the App to track notes. Hopefully this is something that can be patched in eventually.

Embarrassing
Steve Jobs once said “we don’t ship junk at Apple” - this app is obviously Roam’s contrarian take on this premise because they clearly do ship junk at Roam.
the effort and thought that’s gone into a crucial tool/interface here is embarrasing.. (yet I still use roam desktop! what does that say about me?)
I don’t think the team cares, so I’ll just leave this here and wonder if maybe in a couple of years they decide to rebuild their mobile app to be usable

The app doesn’t really work
All I can do is quick capture. I cannot access anything else, it’s basically worthless. I’m only wrote 2 stars because I love so much the main Roam Research, but this app…it’s a nightmare.
This app is my Second Brain
Forget Evernote, Notion, and any clones out there. Before Roam I was collecting notes and never going back to them, my Evernote and Apple Notes were packed with a useless mess of text, and tagging never helped. ADHD always made it hard for me to organize and remember where I put things in my notes. Roam is completely different. The app intelligently links your notes into a graph and builds up connections over time, so the bigger your collection the more useful it is! It’s relieving to know that you can trust the system and never worry about forgetting things ever again.
Roam Research is the most intuitive and powerful tool for note taking, research, zettlekasten, ontology, project management, relational and graph modelling, interstitial journaling, get-it-done productivity, and tracing your thoughts/thinking back to the source. The “Daily Notes” page is brilliant and is eventually going to be copied by every other note app. Every page and line of text is linked together, and you can add a ToDo anywhere in your notes which is fantastic for keeping in the flow of your work.
I can’t recommend this app enough, it will completely change your thinking about notes and productivity.
