After using AutoPylot plus for several months I can say it is the best App available. From the easy to use maps, mission planning and saving, integrated weather and LAANC requests it’s got everything going for you. Other features I like include the integration with my calendar app and the polished weather maps in the Plus version. This is simply one of the best.

I love this app because it has everything I need and virtually nothing I don't need. I don't like it when an app is feature rich but burdensome to use. This app makes it simple and streamlined to create a flight plan. One thing I think is lacking, though, is the ability to edit the mission; I don't want to delete the mission and create a new one just to update the date and time, for example.

Easy to use, one stop, intuitive app that provides awesome preflight info and easy flight approval tools. FAA approved. The preflight check list function is also super handy for new pilots like me.
I was recently on vacation at the beach and wanted to grab drone footage of Sunrises and Sunsets. I fired up the app only to discover I was in a HARD NO FLY zone. I was bummed I couldn’t get the footage I wanted, but glad to leave the drone in the closet for a week to avoid potential FAA fines. Always, always, always reserve airspace approval prior to flying. If you don’t it’s on you. My understanding is that there are no acceptable excuses.
How do you know your in a G zone unless you check? Even then are there temporary restrictions? While your there you might as well reserve airspace approval and confirm height restrictions. This app does the leg work for you making it easy and enjoyable.

Your input is invaluable to us! Fly Safe! In the mailand the app work greats but in Puerto Rico doesn’t show information so can confused people and fly drones in places that they can’t. Pleas fix data for Puerto Rico we are US Citizens, in other part have everything that a drone pilot need to know before take off.
Glad to see that that app has been updated to work on iPads and tablets.
However, I still do not agree that Airspace’s that revert to class G do not show up if you use the app for planning during the time that the Airspace is class G.
No other app follows that principal.
If I want to plan at night for the next day, a controlled airspace will not show up and one can easily assume that they will be flying in unrestricted airspace.
That is something that still needs to be addressed.
Too many pilots will not check again the next day and illegally fly in restricted airspace without a LAANC approval and be breaking FAA regulations and can easily get in trouble.

I’ve been browsing the app and noticed it doesn’t include local, regional, or even state regulated areas where take off and landing is restricted, county parks, etc. Be very careful when using this app that you understand local regulations before flying.
