Update: So the developers response restates what I said…which is that Avatars cost more, whilst conveniently ignoring the fact that the app is demonstrating functionality that is just not there. You cannot use songs to have your photo sing to you. Which they know is a failing. But which they continue to use as a selling point. False advertising - which is why I received a full refund via Apple.

Update: now they are saying I must subscribe to use the features when I already purchased their lifetime. This is a bait and switch, reported to Apple.

We are sorry to hear that you had this experience. The app is constantly evolving and growing. In order to fully use the app features, the subscription will be required. However, the basic features of the app are completely free.
Takes many attempts to get it right, keeps asking for money
First bad experience was that Avatars are a separate payment. Really?!
Then the templates available are OK probably for teens but for the rest of us I couldn’t find a lot that I felt related to.
When I did find things I wanted to use they took several attempts, sometimes the animations would look out of place or result in abominations.
When animating more than one person or pet, there’s no choice of who plays what part and so it’s always a gamble.
The facial animations also look very repetitive across templates so I found it rather expensive for the features offered.
I did not renew my subscription. Feels like the effort that goes into getting one single animation right is too much, and it gets old quickly due to the OK quality.

Not user friendly or as advertised.
Additionally, finding the advertised features can be quite challenging, such as adding a song to my profile picture.
When I uploaded a photo of my pet and attempted to adjust the eyes and mouth, the result was unrealistic, as only half of his face responded, resulting in a distorted appearance.
Furthermore, I prefer not to use my voice for recordings, yet it seems I cannot access the app's functionalities without granting permission for photo access and voice commands.
In conclusion, it’s disappointing that this app is misleading and does not readily provide the features it promotes. After spending 30 minutes navigating it, I was unable to locate the functionality I was initially excited about, which was highlighted in the app's marketing.

Worst App of this type I have tried
It’s so bad and it’s almost impossible to get your money back try it good luck I mean don’t try the app. Please let me save you from that just if you have, good luck getting your money back.
