ReeXpose - Game changer

Fantastic results from using ReeXpose on a week in Frankfurt recently, took 2minute exposure on a tripod and strong winds blowing towards me created an impressive streaking of the clouds. Converted the image to mono and effect is dramatic, best shot of the five days.

Slow and buggy

Wanted to give this a go but it is too slow to actually use, even on iPhone 13. Have requested a refund. Also didn’t appreciate all the upgrade adds once I’d paid.

Likely the best camera app for the iPhone

I came across this app a couple days ago. The night I downloaded it there was an epic storm rolling through my city. Put my iPhone 14 Pro Max on a tripod and started shooting. I ended up capturing one of my all time favorite phone pics that night. The app is very easy to use for all skill levels. I highly recommend it if you want greater creative control over the already fantastic iPhone camera.

Super easy to create long exposure

ReeHeld app is a photography app that has made my long exposure photos easier and more enjoyable. Usually a complex process for people that are not familiar with long exposure photography.

Well worth paying for, one of the standout features of the ReeHeld app is its s simplicity. It is easy to use and has a straightforward interface, making it accessible to users of all skill levels.

The app offers a variety of exposure times, ranging from 5 second to 30 seconds, allowing users to capture stunning long exposure shots of a range of subjects. Another great feature of the this app is its ability to save the shot straight into the photos app after taking it.

Overall, the Long Exposure app is a great tool for anyone interested in long exposure photography. Its simplicity, ease of use, and range of features make it a great choice for both beginners and more experienced photographers alike.

Great Start - take further!

I really like this app especially that it creates a RAW file. I think it’s a great start. There are a couple of features that need to be added or improved. In a similar fashion as Slow Shutter App, I would love to see a feature where I can save a capture, but keep it active so I can continue to add to the exposure. This is needed for light painting where exposures can be 30 minutes or longer and you want to keep adding light but at some point you over cook it. That’s where a previous save comes in. Your interim Results feature is good for relatively short exposures, but not workable for very long exposures where the user is using the screen to judge exposure. Also the screen representation of the exposure is not keeping up with the progress fast enough to judge exposure.

Also a setting where the phone volume control can trigger the shutter is needed. This is the means by which a Bluetooth shutter remote triggers the shutter. Again most of the other camera apps have this.

We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you like the app, especially its RAW capabilities - something quite unique on the App Store at the moment (FYI Slow Shutter Cam app does not offer Bayer RAW format but only shoots in JPG). Regarding your comments on features that need to be added or improved, we would like to clarify that ReeXpose already offers an Interims Results feature that allows taking intermediate photos during a long capture. This feature is designed to address the specific need you mentioned for light painting/Light Trails (but also Motion Blur), and we believe it does work well even for longer exposures, so above 30 min. As for your suggestion for a feature that allows saving a capture and keeping it active to add to the exposure, we’ll into this as this could be something we’d be interested to implement. The current Interims Results feature provides a similar functionality to that. However, we understand that there may be different workflows and needs for different users, and we appreciate your input. Regarding your observation on "the screen representation of the exposure not keeping up with the progress fast enough to judge exposure", that's intrinsic part of the capture workflow when shooting in Bayer RAW format - meaning: what you see on screen is not what you get as an output, since the live-preview representation of the long exposure is based on the elaborated output (JPG) as the Bayer RAW is not currently representable on screen. We are however working on an innovative solution to represent the actual Bayer RAW image instead of the elaborated JPG, with the live-preview. We want to however highlight that this is actually not present on any other app in the App Store and will take us some time to implement. Finally, we would like to mention that ReeXpose already offers volume toggle and bluetooth shutter controls, and moreover the app provides Apple Watch integration for remote shutter, as well as the Lock Screen Widget for quick access. Hi, We are sorry ti hear you’re encountering some issues with the White Balance, however sometimes in specific light conditions the camera sensors of the iPhone might have some glitches that let 3rd party camera apps crash when adjusting the White Balance (WB) values. This only happens in a few rare cases and in fact you’ll notice that 99% of the time you won’t be having such issue. Most often a fresh restart of the app or delete/re-install would solve such issues. Software can be complicated at times, it is not bulletproof. Laggy junk

This amp lags hard jumping between photos and camera. Also, why is it impossible to take a landscape shot by turning the camera sideways. Useless. I want a refund.

Great Customer Support

Haven’t had that much time with the app in capturing co tent yet, but their customer support is excellent! Emailed them with a question on a Saturday evening and had an answer by Sunday morning… Plus they offered up a free upgrade to the pro version at no cost and unsolicited.
