Brakeless

The Echo never worked properly would not connect to the phone and now this new app gets stuck asking for location settings to be open. Anyway not worth the effort. Disappointing.

Take the time to learn this App first/ results guaranteed

I strongly suggest for anyone wanting greater safety in towing their trailers to use this App; you need to take the time to learn to use it and how it actually works first, I guarantee that you’ll be safer and happier too when you see the results on how you can remotely control your trailer brakes remotely in your truck via your mobile phone application- it is truly wonderful to use and it improves safety and theft security for your trailer too.

Many thanks to tech support!

I freaked out when this App was updated and had all kinds of problems. It would download, then it did but wouldn’t pair, then it paired but I couldn’t click on the “accept” button.. finally I called Lippert. I should have done that from the start and saved myself all the frustration. The tech I spoke with, Shad, was helpful and stayed on with me until everything was working perfectly.
I have taken two trips since with no issues.
Highly recommend calling if you are having problems I got thru to a real human being in minutes!

Very dangerous! Beware users

I have the Curts override button for 2 years and I was happy with it until it forced us to change this new app. The purpose of the override button is you can control the brake of trailer with out the app. But this app disabled my button. As soon as this app is closed( working in the background, not turn off) the button stop working! I was glad that I found out earlier. Imagine that people didn’t know that and had fishtail need to control the trailer. End up the button is not working! It gonna lead to injury/ law suit for this company, even worse that someone lost their life! The company suppose test it and make sure it working well before you publish this new app and “force” close the old app. I did call the company and tell them the problem and they said they were aware this issue and it is a “glitch” of the app. AND DON’T KNOW WHEN CAN THEY FIX IT! That pricy button now is a decoration in my car…. Apple should force them to remove this app. Dangerous

New owner of Echo Brake Controller

Who ever decided to roll out the new App for the Echo mobile Brake controller should design. First, the transition should be seamless. Imagine connecting your camper to the brake controller, after three months of none use, and , surprise, your normal App doesn’t work. Then you fish around trying to replace the App for 15 minutes to no avail. The registration screen come up Blank. I had to drive the camper 40 mi to get it repaired, without a brake controller to use. Echo has gone down hill in my opinion, I’m still not able to register, no Brake Controller. No customer support in my opinion. Grade F.

Complete steaming pile of crap

This app is clunky and slower than the original app for my brake controller. The apps reaction time from the time I push the brake pedal to the brakes being applied is way to long. I thought my older iPhone was part of the problem so I purchased a brand new iPhone 15 pro and it is still the same. I just want a stand alone brake control app and this company is trying to integrate several of their other products with the brake control app and I don’t want ANY of their other products. Please give me back the old brake control app and FIRE the person that forced this “ new “ crappy brake control app on the market !

Opposite of others!

Others state brakes locking. For me I feel my brakes are engaging with the new app. Had no issues with the Kurt app and now have app set on 100/9 and doesn’t feel like I’m stopping at all. I know the controler will “save” your settings when it gets disconnected from bluetooth but it more disconnected than connected (disconnected more than 80% of the time) and it doesn’t put an easy feeling in your stomach when you step on the brake and the bar doesn’t indicate the brakes are being applied until seconds later.
