  • Good nearly excellent

Very easy to use and lots of listed printers but sadly won’t let me import .obj would be great if this could be added

Thanks for the review! Adding OBJ file format is on my to do list and I'll see if I can squeeze it in one of the next versions.
  • this app

This app is awesome. This is the best slicer app on a phone. I 100% recommend this app. I had some trouble on this app where I couldn’t find my 3-D printer, but I just played around with the app and I finally fixed my issue.

  • only certain printers

I have a ELEGOO Neptune 3 pro and I can’t find my printer in the machines selections. 😭 For some reason, I can find all the ELEGOO printers, but mine. I would be very happy if you could add my printer please.😁 Other than that this app is easy to use and works really well.
  • Only certain printers

So far this app is really great and this app is easy to use. But apparently after this recent update, my ELEGOO Neptune 3 pro won’t show up in the machine selection. I was able to select it in the past, and it worked perfectly and now it just disappeared. But I can find all the other ELEGOO 3-D printers, but my Neptune 3 pro won’t show up. If you guys could add this back in, that would be awesome.

  • Lots of potential

Great feature set and appears to be fully functional with a wide range of default printers and a responsive dev. However, exporting sliced g-code seems to be locked behind a subscription that I really can’t justify over the many free options out there yet.

Definitely a product that would thrive open sourced, or with one-time purchase options (Something small for just enabling exporting gcode, or a larger perpetual license).

Will update if I am misunderstanding something!

  • I like it!

It’s great not having to use a slicer on my MacBook, I can export my Stl files straight from Nomad Sculpt and Shapr3D to files and import in Pikaslice. I would like to make a suggestion… feature request to improve the app.
    1. Measurement tool with snapping, distance to distance, point to point.
2.Split Screen capability like other apps for iPad
    3. Drag and drop.

Other than what’s missing, I really love how convenient Pikaslice is.

Thank you for your feedback! Lifetime purchases are sadly not planned right now, but I'll give you a head-up if it changes.
  • Need help getting started

Can’t figure out how to use this. It is very likely user error because I am new to the technology. I don’t have a computer and have used a slicer only a few times on my sons computer. I would love to be able to interact with his 3d printer without having to use my sons computer. I just need a beginner guide to get me started. On my sons slicer all I have to do is upload files. I can’t get any files to upload into this. It is probably because I don;t know how to set it up to get to that stage.

Can you write me an email (you find it on the app's store page or in the "Help"-section of the app) together with the name of the 3D printer manufacturer and exact model? The general workflow is to add your 3D printer in the machine/material section bottom-right. Then tap the "Open"-button top-left and load a mesh (STL/3MF extension). Make sure it's properly positioned on the plate, maybe add supports if it's not a print-in-place 3D model (like articulated 3D models e.g. are most of the time). Then export it to the format of your printer and either copy it to an attached thumb drive or send it wireless if you've got a filament 3D printer that supports that. Please let me know if you have further questions.
  • Please add

Please add Anycubic Photon Mono M7k Pro Resin 3D Printer

    Developer Response

I'd love to add the Mono M7 Pro but AnyCubic has changed the format and didn't share the documentation yet. If they'd send me the documentation, I could add it in less than 24 hours... If you're on social media maybe try writing them?
  • Of course there is a paywall

This app is useless unless you pay for a subscription. Why does every developer think a subscription is a good idea? I’ll never know if this app is good or not because I’m not paying to try an app.

    Developer Response

If you tap on the "Open"-button in the top-left corner you can import calibration prints for filament as well as resin 3D printing. They're free to print for all time and allow you to test every aspect of the application. With that being said: you've spent several hundred USD on an iPad/iPhone, several hundred USD on a 3D printer, 20-40 USD on a spool of filament/bottle of resin and then get mad to drop 4 bucks on an app that's updated 3-4 times a month? A developer that constantly implements users requested features? Really? Why don't you try for a more constructive route, test the app, give me feedback and then take it from there?
  • Some features seem to be bugged

I really like the idea of this app! However, the key feature I need for success is not working. I have a mesh with a bunch of little pieces and I keep trying to separate the pieces using the separate shells into objects function, but they still only allow me to transform them together. I tried the toggle edit mode to see if that’s the setting I needed to move them independently, but whenever I use it it either crashes the app immediately, or when I click on any of the separated parts they vanish and there’s not even an undo function to bring them back so I have to reupload the mesh. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’m really not sure and there’s no tutorials online talking about this specific issue

Please send me the STL/3MF file in question to the email address listed in the "Help"-section (top-left corner in the app) and I'll have a look.
