Odd choice of words and poor speaking training

Was very disappointed in this app. I wanted to move on from Duolingo to something that was more comprehensive. The concept of this app seems very good and exactly what I want but unfortunately the execution has been poor.

I’m learning a Lot

This is really helping. I’m surprisingly retaining the knowledge I’m learning and enjoying it too. Hopefully I progress with sentence sequences and spelling throughout the year.

Pricing scam and too expensive

They have an option listed in the App Store for $50.00 for lifetime (forever) access. When I installed the app that option was not available, only expensive subscription options were available. I wrote to them theee times asking them to help me purchase with the listed price and they have not done so, and are not responsive. Feels like a bait and switch scam. I liked the app enough to pay $50.00 but there are way better things out there for the full price they are asking. I would not pay the full subscription prices being asked. I will also be telling everyone in the learning communities I am in that this app/developer is not honest about the prices and have bad customer support.

Edited to add that I emailed them as they requested below- on the 27th of April and it is now may 30th and they have not done anything to make it better. They responded to my email with “wait we will look into it” and I have heard nothing since. It is a scam!

Click bait. You need to pay

They ask you loads of questions and it seems good but then they ask you to subscribe without even offering a trial. You cannot create an account without paying. Dont waste your time it’s click bait.

Good afternoon In promotional videos, we offer to try our application for free. The application provides a free trial period of 7 days. Specifying payment information when subscribing is a requirement of the App Store. Payment information is stored in your App Store account and we do not have access to it.

Great concept needing better execution

I’ve become aware of some words where the translation is incomplete or lacking nuance. I’m sure the majority is correct but it’s a bit unnerving when you see misleading translations and as a result I have slowed down my use of the app.

Furthermore, it’d be nice to have the option to learn the Spanish they speak in Spain specifically, or at least an indication of where words are more often used, as the Spanish on this app includes words/phrases that are less likely to be used in Europe.

Pricing

Why do apps not provide the price up front? This is unacceptable! No more apps that want to know all about me, but won’t tell me the price to buy and the thing that is being bought. We have given up our power as customers to companies. No more app purchase without price up front!

Costs as much as Duolingo but less features

I tried the app out for a few min and decided I might as well stick with Duolingo

Disappointing

If the App was as good as the Ads I’d be delighted!

If it was free it would be ok.

Not useful

The app is a pain to use! I purchased a two month access but had limited access to the material! A total waste of money! I am to renew in Jan but the app doesn’t even allow me to access my account today which is 5 days prior to the expiration date!!
