  • Seems like a good replacement, we like it!

Easy switch, be sure you have your OnCue user name & password handy, will make the transition seamless. I moved to an Apple login & that made it very easy! Recommended….
  • The latest update (version 1.2.2) should satisfy most users

With the latest update, the addition of generator, controller, and engine data makes this a very useful app for monitoring generator operation. The interface is well organized and easy to navigate. Creating an account and transferring generator info from OnCue Plus was also very easy.

The only change I would suggest is to rename Generator Profile to Generator Data, this this is where power, voltage, and frequency are displayed.

  • You loose lot of information

No information for the motor RPM / Temp / etc etc that the OnCue Plus had. They need to modify this application to show all that important information.

Edit 20/Sep. they added all the missing information
  • Parameters available now in v 1.2.2

Previous reviews pointed out that essential parameters such as oil temperature (critical here in the north) were not available and hoped that a future release would include them. I downloaded version 1.2.2 and every parameter I wanted is now available. My only complaints are that the instructions are a bit misleading but you get the gist eventually, and it would not allow me to use my true address rather than the almost-correct address it “suggested”.

  • Magical

See now we are at a great baseline of a like for like app that is replacing oncue. Keep up the good work and show us how much better you are than generac.
  • Unreliable push notifications

This app is terrible and a huge downgrade. I am not reliably getting push notifications from this app, I can no longer get emails, and when I open the app the generator status is often wrong and takes many seconds to update. This is really disappointing.
  • A Step Backwards

This app is definitely a step backwards. None of the vital information is present. Hopefully there will be an update which will add this data back into the app. Kohler was just bought out by a private equity group which explains both the change and the downgrade.
  • Significant loss of functionality

Like all previous reviewers, I find the loss of engine status information in the new app to be a significant loss. The loss of this status information will cause a significant hardship during a power outage, especially one caused by or during a severe storm , due to our serious mobility limitations. I found oncue to be unreliable because the generator repeatedly dropped off line, even with a wired connection, and getting it back online required a manual reboot which was very difficult for us to do. While I hope that this app will stay on line better than OnCue, the loss of status information causes another big problem. We got the generator to make sure medical equipment would continue to run during a power outage. I feel less secure with this app than I did with OnCue.

  • Major step backwards

This new version of the app, left out all the important running parameters. You can no longer see coolant temp, oil temp, RPM, generator load information. Even email notifications have been removed! Major step backwards. I was told OnCue plus will stop working before the end of the year.
  • Step backwards

Sure the app looks and feels modern but that’s about it. It offers zero info beyond the basics such as running or not. Bring back the ability to see all of the data points that the controller can see so it’s truly a monitoring app.
