  • Great game! I also have some suggestions for the devs.

Ok first of A transfer portal which I know might be hard to make it would be sorta like the free agent portal in OG retro bowl. Second off please add rivals because well the only thing about it is that there would be some fun and challenging games. Third add a thing where if you know Oklahoma and Texas is joining the SEC in 2024 so if you have premium in team edit you can move teams to different divisions. Fourth add commitments because there should be commits in the early season so you know who is good that wants to be with you. Fifth add a thing if you have premium you can make the playoffs bigger example the FBS is expanding to a 12 team playoff next year so yeah. Well that’s all just if you see this reply and hopefully some of my ideas will be considered! Bye!

  • Almost there!

I give five stars just because you did a college game. Here are some more ideas. When an FCS team plays an FBS team, the FCS team should automatically be downgraded as it is highly unlikely although it does happen that an FCS team does beat an FBS team. Prepare for conference realignment as the PAC 12 is about to disappear so customization is needed. Would be great if we could do that on our own. Making a schedule creator could be useful but just for the team you control. You should be able to start with the team you want to play instead of playing a different program then hope a job offer comes through. Need more spaces for team names. 12 college football playoff begins next year so that needs to be implemented. Overall loving the game! Thanks guys. I know you will make it even better.

  • Great BUT… can be better

First off, if New star games sees this,RBC is a great game. But I think it can be improved.

1.Rivals. I think a team should be able to select “rivals” such as Texas playing Oklahoma. This could be where you can select one (maybe more) teams to play every year during the last week of the season (rival week) like real college football.

    2. Conference re-alignment. I think if you have the 99 cent customizable mode, you should be able to add, remove, and switch teams with conferences. If I am in the big 10, and want to add Noter dame to the all ready 14 members, or remove Rutgers from the big 10, I think I should be able to do that. I know I can change the name… but if my conference is stuck at 10 members, I can’t do anything about it if I want 11.

    3. Customizable stadiums. It would be cool to change the playing field of a stadium. Such as adding text and text color to the end zones, yard number font, (and a 50 yrd team logo would be Awsome) that could be pre set letters or images like a bulldog or eagle or sutch)

    4. College band. Every team has a college band. On big 3rd downs they should play “retro” versions of classic pep tunes like charge or bugle horn. Maybe a little tune for a first down and maybe even generic retro fight songs to pick from

Anyway, this is already a good game, but to make the game more like the real college experience, some of these ideas should make it into the game

  • Great game! But one problem…

My experience with this game has been AWESOME. But it also has been a little frustrating. The best parts of this game is that the developers put the time and effort to actually include gpa, majors, and hobby’s which I thought was awesome. Also they included about every school that has a football team, even the minor ones.

the one major problem though that I have had with this game is that half the time I don’t know what some teams are. Like for example LSU has just like the full name in and it’s not just LSU. So it takes time to go through and change very single team name to what they are exposed to be which I haven’t taken the time to do yet.

But besides that one problem this game is already one of my favorite games and I am only probably two hours in. I already like it more then retro bowl. Besides that one problem this is a five star game and I highly recommend that you buy it.

  • It’s okay….

I mean a great concept, retro bowl was amazing and adding a college concept is actually very cool. The reason it’s a 3 star is because of some things I’ve noticed that are kinda frustrating. For one, FUMBLES. Period. My team has 99% morale and aren’t tired what so over, so why do I get multiple fumbles almost EVERY GAME. It’s kinda of annoying. Two, it’s very annoying to manage GPAs every year if I don’t have the chance to have my players study on their bye weeks. And paying 25 cc every year to maintain a solid GPA is very annoying. Three, if a FCS upsets an FBS team they should get a bigger fan base or some sort of reward. And lastly having FCS teams and realignment happen throughout seasons would be pretty cool. If some of these fixes/ideas get implemented would this an automatic 5 star game like the original game. But I know this game just came out so I can’t be to harsh, other then good and fun game :)

  • BEST GAME EVER But,

Retro Bowl College may be the best app I’ve ever downloaded. For College football fans, it doesn’t get better than this on mobile. It’s just like retro bowl but there are a few differences. First, seasons are 14 weeks, you get two bye weeks, and the playoff section of the season is a total 5 weeks long. The biggest difference is when people go to the NFL, they donate money back to your team, but they will not keep all the money. With the money you have left, you recruit players to your team. There is no salary cap. Another huge difference is you have to maintain your player’s gpas. If they drop below 1 or so, they can’t play unless it eventually goes up or you use coaching credits to make it go up. Overall, the game is insanely fun and very addicting. Every single college team including FCS schools are in the game. Some of the jerseys are off and some team names had to be changed for copyright purposes, but other wise, this is easily the best college football game I’ve ever downloaded on mobile. Maybe the best game ever.

  • Seriously?

Ok, first I wanna start off by saying RB college is an amazing game and new star did a wonderful job. But I have one complaint, what the actual heck is up with the team colors? They are all so bland, (some teams not having a colored logo, strip on their pants, or sleeve) and I feel like new star is doing this literally so that your OCD has had enough and makes you buy premium to edit the colors because they are so annoying. I mean come on, Clemson Is orange white and purple, and they made it yellow white and royal blue. Come on new star, your better then that. Another thing is the fact that you have zero big games whatsoever before the playoffs. This makes getting into the playoffs itself way easier then it should be. Other then that, the game is awesome but I will be redesigning each and every Jersey color for each and every team to actually be somewhat realistic. (Doing your job for you)

  • Near perfect

The game is such a fun sequel to the original retro bowl, but there are just enough differences to make it a noticeably different experience. I think more players leaving during their Junior Years could be an interesting addition, as well as the installation of a transfer portal feature. The in-game sprite comparison between the original RB and RBC seems extremely odd- I took screenshots of my Colorado QB from RBC when he’s throwing and my custom team’s QB from RB when he’s throwing and the difference is very noticeable. The Retrobowl in-game sprites look more built and full, while the college sprites look like they’re starving. The college qb’s arm is one pixel thick! I’d love to see a mix of the sprites in the college game- maybe have the star players have the original sprite? I’m no game developer.

Another complaint is a stupid one, but when I see a college like Northern Iowa called NIU instead of UNI on the scoreboard just bugs me- same with Southern California not being called USC. I wish having the premium in the original retrobowl would transfer over to the college experience, but I could understand why it wouldn’t be.

  • It’s the best college football mobile game but

Overall this game is been VERY fun but there is some issues. First is the gpa, my star players have to be benched for 3 weeks at a time at least 2 or 3 times a year.
My biggest issue with the game overall is that I can’t change teams. In the original retro bowl, you would start with a bad team and once you won a championship, you would get tons of offers and after a couple championships you could go to any team in the entire league. In this game, they 8 FBS teams are the only teams you can play with. No matter how many champions I win, there is 0 offers. And it makes it less fun because there is no real motivation. The journey from Portland state to Georgia or Michigan is what would make this game elite.

If they add changing teams, change the gpa a little and maybe make a slight tweak to recruiting. (Michigan and big schools start with a 70k cap while Portland state starts with 35k)

  • Almost great game

I have played the original retro bowl for 2 years and I was excited that this came out because I wanted a college one. Before it came out I made my own college version in the original retro bowl and it took me at least a month and I got all the jerseys down I even looked up all the hex codes to make it perfect and I was expecting the college jersey to be right and their not for example, LSU is light purple and gold “very light”, Indiana has orange jerseys and blue jerseys, and auburn is blue and yellow? I could fix it on my own but that would only fix my problem and not other peoples. Secondly where’s the transfer portal or NIL? It would make it more fun and more interesting. You should be able to hire recruiters to go scout areas like south east, central, north and all that stuff. You should add new faces to the RB college and regular RB.
