Reviews of Light Meter

  • Excellent light measure

Very easy to use and excellent light meter. It is also reasonably accurate and no big fluctuations when you hold your phone steadily in front or under the source as the case may be. Works for LED, incandescent, natural sun etc. No required diffuser attachments. No muss no fuss. Totally decent application!

  • Poor App Support

The App has no instructions or documentation to show how to use the meter. Also super limited capabilities unless you buy the paid version. I will be deleting the app from my device.

    Developer Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide your valuable feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced due to the lack of instructions. We have endeavored to make our app as simple and intuitive as possible, but we also understand the importance of detailed instructions. Rest assured, we will work on adding them in future versions. In addition, we would like to emphasize that the free version offers all the basic features, while the premium version includes a 3-day free trial to explore all the additional features. We appreciate your input and hope you will consider giving our app another try in the future. If you have any further suggestions or questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
  • Measures much lower values than a calibrated light meter

I tried to see if this could replace a calibrated light meter, but the answer is a definite NO. The measured values are 1/2 to 1/3 of what the light meter reads for a LED test source. At very high flux levels (~10 klux) the values are lower by a factor of 10.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that our Light Meter app didn't meet your expectations. We've conducted numerous measurements and comparisons with calibrated meters to ensure accuracy, especially for common lighting conditions. We value your feedback and will investigate this further to improve our app's performance.
