Leave a Review Evie Ring
Piece of junk
There are few purchases I regret more than the Evie ring. I have had two rings since first receiving one in mid-February; the first lasted 2.5 months before the battery just died and would no longer take a charge, and the second one worked fine for about month before its battery got so bad that I have to charge it every 4-6 hours. I was most excited about the sleep tracking but the ring won’t last a single night. Movano has told me they will send me a replacement ring (my third) but I am shopping around for another brand.
Even if you get lucky enough to not get a lemon (assuming they make anything else), I still wouldn’t recommend it. It’s hit or miss tracking sleep, the spot check never works unless you are sitting perfectly still (so worthless during a workout), and the other data are nothing special. The only thing Evie has going for it is you don’t need a subscription.Show lessGaslit myself for too long
I was so excited about this ring and one of the first to receive the ring back in January. I’ve worn it consistently for months now and I’ve wanted to love it but it simply just does not work.
Upon opening the app a few weeks ago, it prompted you to update immediately or the app won’t work but then it wouldn’t update. After finally completing the update the next day, I realized that all of my data for the last 5+ months was gone. Not that the data it was collecting was accurate to begin with… the sleep tracker has gotten better but now my heart rate data also stopped collecting itself (one of the main reasons I bought the ring was to track symptoms).
It seems like there’s so much broken behind the scenes that they don’t even know what to pay attention to. At the very least can you look into an open workout feature that functions as a stopwatch (counting up) versus as a timer (counting down). It’s impossible to know down to the minute how long my workouts might be.
I’ve been rooting for you guys and have tried to remain optimistic that it will get better over time, but this does not live up to the hype.Show lessGood idea, still needs work
I got an Evie ring after wearing out my Oura ring. I’ve been watching/waiting for Evie for abt a year. My first Evie ring worked great for a week, and then wouldn’t hold a charge for more than two hours. The company was great and sent me a new one.
This new one under reports most things, and will also mysteriously disconnect from my phone/app without any reason as to why. My phone is on and the app stays open. It will disconnect from my phone despite my phone being 2 feet away from me during the night. So sleep data comes back as 2 to 3 hours as any data collected while it is disconnected just disappears, it isn’t saved/stored like it is supposed to be. It does the same during the day. The ring won’t reconnect until I put it back in the charging box. I’ve alerted support, let’s see what happens. I like the look and feel of the ring and hope this is all just the growing pains of a newly started company/product and that it will get better.Show less
