Litter box works great but…
We have had the litter box for a week and the cats are using it with no problems. It’s working great. The app on the other hand does not record when it has been used…nothing really works with the app. I give the litter box 5 stars but the app unfortunately gets 1 star from me.Just a guy with some cats

The litter box itself is great. Easy to keep clean, easy to deep-clean, open-concept so each of my cats can fit and feel comfortable while using… The two main issues I have are the app and the weight tracking, both are top reasons I chose Neakasa. The app leaves a lot to be desired. I would love to be notified of when my cats are using the litter box in real time and know specifically who is using it. The weight tracking isn’t accurate and is often misreading not only their weight, but which cat is actually being weighed. Would be great if the scale was precise AND there was a camera to snap a quick shot of who is actually in the box. Perhaps with image recognition so that the app can accurately document who is who.Crossword Van
Useless App
The app is not recording anything. My cat uses the box every day but there is no record of the litter box being used or cycling. I set up a camera to make certain I wasn’t crazy. The app doesn’t track anything.Eddierae
Great litter box! App needs a lot of work
The litter box is a game changer however the app needs a lot of work. The bin indicator reads only normal or full so it requires regular checking, the history of who used the box is great but often inaccurate, no push notifications so you must go into the app to check records.

Best purchase ever
If you have ever been to someone else's home and it smelled like cats but you also have cats this is definitely for you and the best automated liter box on the market. After I setup the neakasa I turned off the auto clean feature to not startle the cats and left their old litterbox next to it. Over the course of a week I did not tend to the old box as much and put treats near the new one. They started started using the new new one within days. I then periodically ran the manual clean cycle and put treats nearby again. The old liter box was out within a week and the cats now have a much cleaner bathroom. And most importantly our home smells so much better. Buy it now!!! Best decision ever :)dinonuggets94
Litter great, but app ruins experience
Echoing what others have said. Great litter, but the app needs a lot of work to get it caught up to speed with competitors. No notifications is wild not to have, and the updates within the app aren’t accurate.
The litter would be full with no notification or warning. It will then spin to clean but get stuck halfway. We wouldn’t know until we see it hours later stuck upside down. I would then change the bag and reset it, and it logs the activity as “Smart Cleanup Completed”.
Really just basic app notifications and functionally would make the litter so much better. Please dev team dedicate some time to improving the app.Muffinman241

I just received the automatic litter box during prime day sales. The litter box it self seems to work great, but the app during the set up phase is terrible and I couldn’t get it to load and kept crashing and closing out or would stay on a blank page. There was no way to find the litter box via Bluetooth either when I tried that way.

Buggy and limited
I agree with others:
The litter works well and our cats are using it after first being wary of it
The app is buggy and crashed during the registration.
Key functionalities are missing:
- as other said, the weighting of the cats is very wonky, and varies a lot. Sometimes the cats are also in for 10 seconds or just put their front paws in and it records something it shouldn’t. We should be able to edit and delete records.
- notifications would be a nice addition
- I don’t know if the machine has the right sensors but any additional information about the cats health based on frequency of use, their feces, etc like some other competitors have would be a great addition.TLC_F

Great app. I have the M1 litterbox. Updates have included history for cat (based on weight) enterijgnsnd using the litterbox. Very awesome. Next step, allow for an RFID collar to distinguish cats that weigh the same.Enorl76
