The scanning feature of the app works great, the UX for the actual scan, reflection removal, and corner adjustment are all pretty nice.
Adding metadata to the photo is almost too painful to be worth it. There’s a “history” for previously used date/times which is nice because the date picker is pretty clunky, but there isn’t a history for location so it’s painful to add a batch of photos from a single event.
The worst part of the app is the instability — it’s rare that I can get two photos scanned in a row without the app crashing. I’ll scan the image, do the corner for reflection removal, and while it’s processing the app crashes. Lots of work goes down the drain until you just give up and restart the app between every scan.
An easier way to add a set of photos from one location and date would make his an easy 4 stars, but I couldn’t give 5 until the crashing is fixed.Show lessOhGeeEm

It is very fun to use and I’m so happy I could put all of my pictures that I took in inside this lake little mini storage area. It is very cord to use and very easy too. I definitely recommend.Sophia35745567

To improve the scanning accuracy, could you please try placing the film on the backgroung which color is different from the film color? (e.g. place white film on black background, then scan) Also, we have improved the scan image resolution in V1.0.4. We would appreciate if you could try scanning again. Not a good scanner at all, jittery framing and always seems to be completely off in the corners despite looking fine when you hit scan. The “remove reflections” function is clever in principle but baffling to use in practice. Also everything ends up in the app gallery and has to manually saved from their to your phone’s camera roll - annoying and unnecessary.
Have to say, Polaroid’s app is far, far slicker and more enjoyable to use.Show lessMcminnus

I’ve installed this app multiple times and it doesn’t scan anything.
I also find it more work to scan a photo of a photo. It would be much more easier to select photos in your phone gallery. Additionally it would preserve the color and quality of the original photo..🌸.🌸.

I just happened on a QR code on the back of a box of film. I scanned and downloaded the app. It’s a great concept I just wish it would work. It automatically shuts down without saving after I scan a pic. I’ve read many great reviews and am very disappointed that I am unable to get the app to work for me.Show lessZoeyZ4

INSTAX Up is great for removing reflections when taking photos of your INSTAX prints but the app is incredibly buggy. It freezes then crashes constantly while processing the multiple photos taken to remove reflections. When it isn’t crashing it distorts the photos so you have to try multiple times to get a good photo. The app has no bug reporting option that I can find so I can’t even report the issue.Show lessMissSparta

When I try to use the reflection remove feature, the app crashes. Other than that, app is well designed and intuitive and scanning works well.snuffliebadger20110
