Great service that I’d recommend to any language learner.
The first time I used Migaku was seriously like magic. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to make cards. One click and it’s done, even with DRM protected platforms like Netflix. The mobile app is fun to use too, with a clean interface.
There are still kinks to work out — small bugs, and it’s lacking some features that would be super handy (mining sentences on my phone watching YouTube + Netflix would be amazing). Overall though, I’ve been very pleased with my experience, and I look forward to the updates they have planned.

Avoid: does not work on iOS. Shonky.
I saw the web site, it looked good, and there is an app for iOS, so I decided to pay for a month and install the app. I installed the Chrome browser extension as directed. Fine, it said it was installed. But I couldn’t see the extension in Chrome. After an hour or two research, I discovered that Chrome does not support browser extensions on iOS. So, without the browser extension the app is no more than Anki with a monthly subscription i.e. a rip off. It is dishonest to sell this product for iOS. Very shonky.

Great app, I like it
The app has been working good for me so far. There are some issues. Sometimes when I briefly go to another app and come back, the flash card will not have any sound, and neither will any of the rest of the cards. I have to close the app and open it again. Also, will there ever be an offline mode? This is specific but when I take the train to school I go through a tunnel for about 15 minutes and have no service. On the Anki app that was no problem and it would still work. Is there anyway that can be brought to Migaku? If not, honestly I understand. The convenience that Migaku brings is more than enough the rest of the time. It’s been so helpful in my Japanese journey.
