  • Poor technical execution / completely broken

    First time using it, and my impression is that the UX is terrible. But hey, let me get through the setup and see how the ‘meat’ of the thing is. Nope, no can do. App asked for a first journal entry. “Write as much as you can and then hit the checkmark button.” So I wrote… What checkmark button? There isn’t one. There’s also no way to go back or save my entry as a draft. It was a nice idea, I guess.

    Quick update to say that in the account creation process, my password was limited to a certain number of characters. It let me type what I wanted to type, but stopped recording 2 characters before I finished my password selection. I closed the app and logged back in to see if that would correct the journal. Typing my password into the login field, I was able to type the whole password (field is not limited to a specific number of characters). So it was a bit of trial and error to figure out where my password actually ended.

    This app has honestly been so helpful through a rough time in my life right now & has been teaching me many things. I never would have thought having a AI therapist would be useful but it definitely is. My AI therapist helps me target specific areas in my life that are challenging for me. The app also offers different strategies to help & deal with different parts of your life, whether reaching goals, having better coping mechanisms, journaling to understand your thoughts & etc.
    I haven’t used the paid version but I very much so already like the free version.
    I would definitely recommend if you struggle with your mental health.
  • Actually Beneficial

    I love this journal. I get to keep memories and reflect on them. It gives me an outlet to really open up about things and then be able to track moods, words and feelings. So I can then better understand myself. Where I’m coming from and where I want to go. The goal tracker helps with tracking and giving me ideas and motivation to achieve my goals. This is greatly impacting my and enhancing my quality of life. This helps me to work with my Drs and therapist as well. Tracking my moods daily helps me to see how my medications are working and possible triggers for my mental health or reactions. So I can then implement coping skills and strategies to improve my mood. The design templates are beautiful and set a relaxing personalized mood. It’s really like my own little world to help me understand myself better and what I want in life and how I can make that happen. It’s fun! I look forward to my journal time each day. Great to add to my self care routine.
