  • Bugs wasting hours of my time

To unlock new spells you need to use x number of spells in game in 2 days. I got to 10 away from unlocking my next spell, with 3 hours remaining. There was then a maintenance break, and following that I was completely unable to log in for the remaining time and then after that. This meant my many hours collecting spells in game was wasted as I was unable to complete the quest due to the game not allowing me to log in.
Extremely disappoint at this as I don’t have all the free time in the world and did dedicate a lot of it to that quest

  • Some things need to be changed or updated soon!!!

1, the match history list is disorganized and very difficult to find, plus some replay errors because I often crash the game while watching.
2, I want to be able to turn off the function of automatically pinning the gold frame to the object (it's very laggy) and add other options in the settings panel for more variety.
3, I need to know more information about special moves or skills and character parameters.
4, Ice World event, why i can't find any Ice Spirits in some games? And there are so many in some matches, I can't pick them all up. This event is very difficult for me.

  • Fun, but pay to win

Squad busters is a well made game, and definitely fun but unless you’re happy to consistently sink money into it your progress is heavily crippled. Once you run out of coins you will only be able to do 3 hits every few hours… this game has a lot to tap, good music, bright colours, interesting game play… but it also so heavily geared towards constant micro transactions, with season passes, free items, with more free items behind a purchase, loot box mechanics, and an aggressive shop.

I played the game until I ran out of coins, and then decided it wasn’t worth keeping. I like Supercell games, and have consistently bought Gold Passes in Clash of Clans, but I like that the Clash game play is a lot more balanced between Free / paying
(Clash is pay to progress, Squad Busters is pay for a big advantage, or don’t pay and have heavily crippled gameplay)

Each round is not necessarily an even footing - You can buy keys that unlock powerful units or Fusions for an edge.

The chests you win at the end of each round are randomised so there is no way to actively build your favourite characters unless you buy upgrades or are patient and grind the RNG drops

  • Incredibly disappointing

For years Supercell discussed wanting to make the next great game. Took them 6 years after Brawl Stars was released to release this, and it feels like they took everything they learned from all their prior games, took all their company values, and did the opposite. The game has almost no multiplayer or competitive aspects. It was released without clans. I highly doubt it succeeds much if they don’t do a massive pre registering game within all of their other games, which are frankly better concepts and more lasting ones.

The core concept of the game seems to be a fun mindless game with little-moderate skill involved and a lot more luck and rng. Which makes it like a kids game, until you realize how pay to win the game is. Opponents regularly have better characters simply by using items or having higher leveled up characters, and with an inability to know how good opponent squads are and if you can beat them, it makes fighting other squads a horrible idea most of the time.

The other Supercell game that is pay to win is Clash Royale, but at least Clash Royale was, to me and millions of others, a revolutionary concept. This is not that. So it becomes a pay to win luck based kids game that isn’t fun to play outside of the 3 chest matches. If it wasn’t for the Supercell IP characters I wouldn’t even think the game is a Supercell game.

  • 🦍

This is my final review. Only deserves a two star. Game is pay to win and extremely unfair. So if you’re playing doppelgänger - which is the worst game mode - if you have Hod Rider you get extra boosts and it’s just so overpowered with damage and health too. It’s so unbalanced. Some matches you can’t have medic but opponents can: how’s that fair? If you’re trying to move somewhere half your squad just starts attacking other squads while you’re trying to run so you can lose half your squad. People just buy into keys to get epic chests and fusions. Of course Supercell had to make the ultimate pay to win game. You can also join the people on your friends list so if you really wanted to you could just get them to help you take out a squad with you so it’s 2v1 squad making it more likely to lose. You can be nowhere near a squad and they somehow catch up to your squad which is ridiculous.

  • My review of squad busters

It’s a decent game but some aspects could do with some adjustments, for example the amount of small characters needed for just 1 evolution is way to high, as-well as the fact it costs a lot of gold to purchase characters from the shop but after battles it only gives you gems and no gold! this is a big issue because you only get gold from challenges and it only gives you enough to buy half a set of small characters and the additional 5-10 gold you get from the menu squad is very minimal and vertually useless. it’s also very frustrating when multiple teams clash I. The centre because you almost have no chance to win! it would be much better if you could create some kind of shield for this problem…

Other than few the flaws mentioned above, so far it’s a great game no noticeable bugs glitches or anything. The gameplay is a thrilling rush of excitement mixed with frustration when taking an L, at the same time it’s enjoyable when you get the W.

  • Fun, but so pay to win it kills the game.

Game has soooo much potential but you can literally buy heroes in game using keys that are 10x more powerful than your ones. Lost a 74 game win streak because I died to an idiot who purchased a mega unit at the start of the game.
  • Love it but hate it

Great game love to play it but feels like I am almost forced to spend money if I want to play it for an extended period of time which doesn’t happen on other supercell games yes there is pay to win aspects aswell which idc about personally but not being able to get rewarded for a game u play just because u don’t have chest tickets or money to spend on them is just stupid. I should not have to spend money as the only way to continue being rewarded for the good performances I have in game, there needs to be other ways for people to continue being rewarded for their games that don’t cost real money.

  • A Good Game That Could Be Great

like what the title said. Dear Game Devs, do you want this game to be a P2W or to be a Grind ? you have to CHOOSE one or the other. This game cannot have both, I’m sorry but this is the truth. There are too many features that depends on both grinding AND spending money. Seriously, this kind of game shouldn’t be expecting us to spend so much money to progress. Around $15-30 for a starter pack that will set us up for a long game is more than enough. Do you want us to keep your algorithm engagement up by spending time in the game and grind? Chest Tickets just simply cannot be produced at a rate it is now. 1 every hour is far more reasonable than what it is now. Also, it shouldn’t be costing that much IGM in which is not even easy to obtain once you reach a certain point. Do you want the game to be a P2W ? then so be it, but just know that number of players will plummet globally in days time. Point is, don’t be greedy :) you guys are already doing such a great job with the concept of this game!

  • Few big issues

Obviously it’s pretty pay to win it’s supercell but that’s (in my opinion) not the biggest issue. It’s the running system I get why it’s a thing and I don’t think it should be removed the game would feel really slow and it would be nearly impossible to run away from enemies but it does just mean every time you get in a fight and they get low they’re obviously gonna run away and that’s fine but when u run out of energy every second and the person you were attacking is already across the map it’s pretty infuriating so I wouldn’t play if u have a short temper of if ur not a fan of chasing people half the game.( there are characters that make running easier like the chicken since they give more charges but then ur wasting coins on a chance to run quicker when it shouldn’t be such an issue to begin with and ik people will consider this just a skill issue (it is) but it wouldn’t matter if i was good cause even when i win i still feel annoyed while everyone’s just dashing across the map this was more of a rant then a review but dont make it a limited stamina type of thing just let you’re self run infinitely and make the support character like the chicken offer and attack speed boost instead cause id honestly prefer getting cut up by a sword in 0.2 second then have people run away
