Confused about the price

When I open the app, it says $5/month with an annual subscription ($60/year). Sounds like a good deal. However, when I proceed to the payment, the number changes to $179/year, which is a huge difference from the initial price.
Can’t really rate the app before figuring this out.

Entirely paid app

No free trial or even a clear insight or preview to the app. Real shame because appears to be potentially great but at the price point it’s not worth the risk without a free trial or something

$30 a month/ no trial

I really wanted to use and like this app. But for $30 a months with no trail is absurd. I can’t even look at what the app has to offer unless I shell out $30 right off the bat. Over a $100 for the year. If I could at least SEE what the app could do for me I MIGHT pay that price. Do yourself a favor and just use google and YouTube. That’s free.

This app is amazing

I just wanted to say if you are struggling and want your life back do it! Sara’s video is inspiring and emotional because I felt her pain and struggle 100% especially having adrenaline dumps and being a mom and determined to be your best as a mother and for yourself. I’m determined and so can you! Thank you Sara! 🤍

Thank you so much for sharing this! Can not WAIT to see where you are next year. Your determination is inspiring!

Not as EDS-friendly as advertised

I really wanted to love this - the idea is fabulous, but the interface and exercising itself do not seem terribly EDS friendly. If you have POTS with a side of EDS, this may work, but I’d be very hesitant to recommend to other zebras, especially those who have systemic manifestations (spinal instabilities, MCAS, etc.) Additionally, the interface isn’t sensory-friendly, videos are mismatched (some have audio instructions, some don’t, all seem to be pulled from various YouTube sources and not made specifically for this app, etc.) It seems you need to switch between multiple screens to actually see your photos, and it doesn’t seem to automatically upload a schedule to follow (you have to manually make your to-do list). I don’t think the price point is terribly off for the idea and effort put in to app development, but may not be the best implementation! I’d love for a physical therapist to make an app like this, working more within “the box” of the joints for an EDS-friendlier program to help those who also live with POTS!

Lee- We appreciate you sending your feedback on the interface! We are working on a restructuring to make things easier to use and more accessible as well as easy to use. This program is called SALT for POTS. It is not called SALT for MCAS or SALT for etc. As Certified Exercise Therapists we are trained on how to support those with Chronic Illnesses and this program is as well rounded as possible for POTS, but it is up to those who do it to decide if it is for them or not. Which we make sure to add before anyone starts. Every person is different and has a responsibility to make sure to research a program, speak to their care team and then decide if it is for them. As much as it would be great, there is simply not a way to make a program for every comorbidity in the PENTAD Super Syndrome Family. A physical Therapist would not have an bearing on POTS either and then leave that important factor out. So you can see where the trouble lies in trying to bridge the gap where we can, and that is where SALT for POTS comes in. It is a program for POTS, while being as EDS friendly as we can, while understanding that everyone is so very different with different health issues they deal with. We are a bit unsure of your feedback on the program, and it seems you might not have tried the levels themselves? Our program is fully guided with 10 workout options a week. 5 home and 5 gym. Is is guided completely, and there are tests for each level to ensure that it is progressed through in a pace that avoids flares as much as possible. As we are a small company, we have not been able to record all videos on our own and as such, a small percentage are through outside partners, which are full credited in their videos. This is a program built for POTS, as the name conveys, but in a way that is as friendly as we can make it for EDS. While also understanding that each person is VERY different and has a different level of hypermobility, it is not possible for it to be ok for everyone with EDS, and as such we again convey that. We do have personal training options as well and have worked with many individuals to sub workouts for them based on their personal needs at no extra cost as well! That is why we have the training chat with 1:1 support when needed. We would be happy to jump on a zoom with you if you would like with one of our Exercise Therapists and run you through the program if you want to see how it works and what the new flow looks like. Look forward to hearing back from you!

Amazing app

Sarah is the best. This app is very affordable and great for progressively getting back into exercise no matter what point you are starting from. It is the best!

No free trial

The idea of this app is great. But it’s very spendy for not being able to see some pieces for free or to have a free week trial. I’m not willing to pay the fee without being able to get an idea of what the content is actually like.

Response from developer

Nicole so happy to hear you wanted to check the program out! We do have a free week trial, you can cancel at any point during that time and will not be charged. Please send us a msg if you need any help and we hope you review again once you get signed up for the free trial.

Love the SALT program!

Truly has been life changing. I tried CHOP but flared since I didn’t know what I was doing. It’s been super great having videos to follow so I know how to do an exercise correctly. It’s also been really helpful to be able to chat with the trainers and ask questions right in the app! The community groups are a nice addition.

Don’t hesitate, just start!

Started the Salt app in mid July. I’m now on level one and shocked at the improvement in just a month. I was coming out of a several month long ups and downs type flare after having symptoms mostly controlled for 2.5 years. Suddenly my med stopped working and it took so long to find something else and get things back on track. I could barely lift my arms before starting for overhead claps. It made my whole body shake to do dead bugs. After a few weeks dead bugs were my favorite exercise and I couldn’t believe how strong I was getting. Especially core. I went to do a plank and couldn’t believe I could hold it. I also have been doing some light weights along side it and now have even been able to take the dogs on short walks and go on some short bike rides. It’s honestly crazy. I was in bed or sitting laying most of the time since mid April-top of July. I’ve never stuck with a program and it took me a few tries to commit but I’m starting to believe things are possible that I didn’t before. Not letting pots control and dictate my life anymore. Getting stronger every day 🙂 so thankful for the program. Don’t hesitate to try this. You will be amazed at how quickly you improve. It is gradual enough that you won’t get thrown into a flare but just the right amount that you will build each day and suddenly one week you’ll realize you feel strong not weak doing the exercises and the soreness and trouble you had at the start you don’t have anymore. I also can stand for longer periods of time and be more active around the house as well. Pair this program with compression socks, electrolytes, medicine if you need it to be able to start exercise in the first place, and a healthy diet and you will start to have some hope for your reconditioning! I thought it was crazy to hear someone with pots could now ride a horse or ski and do active things of that level but now I’m inspired and starting to think maybe it is possible. Baby steps each day. The the very slow gradual way of this program is really what makes it work. Stay committed, don’t over do it, just do the plan as it’s laid out! Give it a few weeks and you’ll be convinced it’s worth continuing. I am so thankful this program was created. It’s so easy to follow and it has truly turned things around for me already. I have hope now that I didn’t before!

5 stars

I love this program, highly recommend. I find it easy to use and navigate. It also provides a lot of knowledge and features like nutrition and mindset work.

Prior to using this app, I had a hard time thinking of exercises or a routines that flowed that weren’t too overwhelming on my body. With this app all that stress has disappeared and I can just focus on completing the workouts. I love that you are able to follow along with the videos and the rest breaks are timed. I am extremely happy and hopeful it will help easy my symptoms or give me a better quality of life.
