Handicap
I know I’m not a good player but it’s in birdies takes away all the guessing on what to swing. I’m happy I pay for the app because it pays for itself when I beat my friends on a $10 bet because they’re too cheap to pay for the app.

I keep my score, look at satellite image of holes especially when traveling. If I need to lay up I touch where I want to hit and it gives me the distance. A must for golfing!
Great app, too many pop ups
I use this app with my Apple Watch religiously when playing golf, it’s an essential aspect for me in playing smart golf as an amateur. However the amount of pop ups and ads in the app promoting their events etc is too excessive. As a premium user I expect little to no pop ups, these disrupt my game and I find it frustrating. Please reduce the ads or give me an option as a paid user!

best app for golf
I’ve tried a bunch of different gps apps for golf, 18Birdies is by far the best. Even just using the free app is amazing. You get accurate distances via GPS but honestly upgrading to premium is well worth it. I’m not the best at reading greens and with premium you get green maps which help me a lot with putting.

Dont bother with the swing analysis
This app has many great tools but it was advertised as a swing analyzer and that is by far the most useless feature on the app. Unless youre truly hopeless, dont bother with the analysis. Get you some practice balls and focus on good contact then gradually build your swing once you have some confidence.

Add back O/U score on Apple Watch
18Birdies is great. I use it every time I play golf. When I first got it and paired it to my Apple Watch I distinctly remember the watch giving me gps distances to front/middle/back of the green, what hole I was on, track shot feature, enter score feature, AND show me how many strokes over or under par I was at that point in my round. I don’t know if that feature was hidden behind a paywall now or what but I really wish they brought it back. It made it super convenient so I didn’t have to look at my phone whenever I was curious about my score. Please bring it back

Frustrating
It could be a good app but i experienced too many problems when I am in a golf course. Golf can be frustrating enough. Don’t need more with this app.
1- the front 9 and back 9 of my home course should be switched. Despite interactions with the support who assured me it was corrected, it wasn’t.
2- the app will jump from hole 1 to hole 13. Impossible to switch back to hole 2
3- the yardage is very approximate. I’ll go from my tracked ball to my bag and back to my ball and see a 7 yard difference. This makes the app unreliable for club recommendation.
4- the analytics on club doesn’t take the elevation difference of different shots which make it useless. My club #3 is 220 yards when played on a flat ground, 280 when descending and 180 when going up.
5- when chipping with a 7 you screw up all analytics of this club
And so on…

It’s good with some downsides
The app is great I’ve been using it for a while and really helped me, but it cost money and I don’t pay the money I just do the free option and it’s good but you need to pay for some stuff.

New update is horrible
This new update is the worst. It will slow down gold for everyone. Stop big bothering me and telling me where the pin is and where I should walk the pin at. Go back to the old one this sucks.
Battery hog even when you’re not golfing
The burned through 50% of my battery on a daily basis when I wasn’t golfing. The background activity is out of control.
