  • As good as it could be

Saving songs could be easier, but aside from that the only limitation is in the amount of keys that can be displayed, and that can't be helped.
  • Ok for the price

    The good:
1). Fast single key or full octave shift. The to and the bottom keys can shift independently.
    2). Double row keys.
    3). Recording capability.

    Need improvement
1). Sound quality. Around C4 it sounded more like a steel string guitar.
2). The fast key shifter is at the wrong place. As I play the key on the edge I accidentally touch them almost every time. I can lock the key. But then I have to press twice to shift key and once more to lock it.
3). The sharp at the edge sometimes is not playable.
4). The key can not be stretched or deformed. When showing the max # of keys, the sharp is so narrow to be playable.
5). How about an even longer sustain.

It is hard to create a virtual piano on a small screen while making it playable. I think the best piano app is call "piano dx". It is free and it does most of the task this pianist will do except fast independent shifting and recording.

  • Perfect for me

Professional singer here. This app is brilliant. Talk about convergence, I can leave another box at home now- the small keyboard I used to take with me to warm up at gigs with.

New version has fake LED lights on it which can be overwhelming. Especially the LOCK lights.

Could really use a clock to enable me to keep an eye on the time in order to get to rehearsals on time. This would be a great bonus over other keyboard apps, very useful for a professional.

Developer gives amazing feedback. Buy this one. The others are toys.

  • Still five stars

I bought this app several years ago, along with many other similar apps over time. This remains at the top of my list. Tweaks and improvements are added as needed, and it continues to deliver wonderful sound from a very useable phone sized package.

I would buy it again without hesitation.
  • Very good

Much more realistic than all other piano apps I've bought.
  • Very pleased

I accidentally bought this app when I was looking for a piano app for iPad. And I thought oh no, 3.99 for another crappy looking iPhone app barely ported over to iPad. I am delighted to be wrong! This app looks great on iPad. And I just played a song. It sounds like a piano. I don't know if a musician would like this app, but I do. I wanted something that looked an sounded like a piano keyboard and I got it. Super!

  • Sounds good but one vastly anoying feature

I paid six dollarie-doos for this thinking it would be a great little insta-pocket piano. Not the case. The number one annoying feature is the title splash page that you are forced to wait through for several seconds every time the app is started. You cannot tap, double tap, swipe, flick, or shake your way past this title screen whose novelty only lasts a Worholian 15 seconds. Then, once past that, you have to select "piano" every time from its main menu. This app is incapable of instantly presenting the piano keyboard, or remembering where it was, upon startup. Nothing like wanting to whip out a ditty with friends and... uhm... hang on... wait for it... wait for it... aww never mind. On the plus side, it sounds good.

  • Excellent

Tried a few different piano apps from Apps Store, but this one was and still is the best. Dual keyboard layout makes it easier to play multiple notes at once, the sound is fine, and you can customize key size. Only drawbacks would be it takes too long to load, and the saving and loading of songs is a little clunky. A good application. I use it all the time.

  • Excellent product.

Just purchased and tried and has worked very well just as described in the ad.
  • Not worth it

I bought this and grand pro, grand pro is cheaper and better designed, this has some nice settings but screen space is wasted and the keys look stretched, the only advantage it has is multiple key pressing but this is not worth it as the thing froze on me, keys were literally stuck down :S
