Very good subnet calculator

This app was perfect timing. We moved to a new office and I had to figure out some subnets. Although most I used an app on the computer, it was nice to have a good portable version of it. Only complaint is the dial pad should be more context sensitive. If I'm typing in a decimal ip address, all I need are numbers and period (the first alternate keyboard in US). Unsure if that can be set in the program but it would be useful if you could.

Great app

Does the job, nice interface, email feature is a bones and best of all it's free!

Subnetting!

A useful application that works quite well, it did crash to desktop when I first got it but a restart of the device helped and it's worked flawless ever since. To the review below, it's a subnet calculator, if you don't know what subnetting is, then this app will be complete confusing to you. It has nothing to do with the IP your iPhone or iPod touch is using, it's used to calculate the appropriate subnet when setting up a network.

I can't believe it--perfect!

Just made my job a whole lot easier. I thought it was so cool in January when I could make a home screen launcher to that online subnet calculator. Now I'm really spoiled. Thank you!!!

Beautifully done and very useful

For those of us who can't do binary-to-decimal in our heads, this is a wonderful app.

Great Concept lacks functionality!!!!

I have been looking for a subnet calculator for some time. But this isn't quite it. you only have 1 way to determine subnets and that is via an IP Range. This program would be fantastic if:- You could determine your ip range from the amount of hosts you need or networks. Able to reverse calculate an ip address from a subnet mask. listing all the possible networks Listing al broadcasts anD starting and finish ip Ranges. If these where implemented i would gladly pay for this product

Cool however not sure what to do with it

Nice presentation, no glitch so far. Hoever I'm not to sure to do with it. When 1st start, the IP showing, where it come from? is-it my iTouch wi-fi ip? thk Paul

Does not work at all.

Did not work for me. I hope it is fixed, since i could really use something like this kicking around. Since this is all 1.0, and this is free, I am very patient.

Thumbs UP

I like it, It's simple to use and works. It's the little things that save time. Good App!

Excellent Free Networking Tool

This is an Excellent Free iPhone App. It’s a very helpful tool for the professional networking engineer and for a do yourself network person. Variable-length subnet masking VLSM is the more realistic way of sub netting a network to make for the most efficient use of all of the bits for your networks. You can instantly compute the variable-length subnet masking VLSM, the IP address, network bits, hosts per net, network address and the broadcast address in your hand by touching your iPhone. You now no-longer have to bang (use) your head against the wall to compute those mysterious numbers any more.
