Excellent and clean app

If you are looking for an app for the Mass and the divine office, there is nothing better. They do an excellent job of finding the particular calendars of each region and bishops conference so it is rarely if ever wrong.
The presentation is clean and simple, not confusing at all.

I love the “comprehensiveness” of Universalis

This is, hands down, my favorite app - all the way to the monthly e-mails I get letting me know of any updates and changes. Thank you to all who obviously work so hard to make this happen and that you make the readings so pleasant to listen to. Lately I’ve been praying the Liturgy of the Hours with Universalis rather than with the “American” version I’ve used for years and it’s SO beautiful! Thank you all again! (P.S. This is probably one of maybe three times I’ve ever given a five-star rating for any app ever!)
May God bless you as you spread the light of Christ-

Prayer

I was introduced to this app by a friend and use it everyday.. I am a member of the neocatecumenal way and as part of the way, we prayer lauds every morning, including the two office of readings. My husband uses the bell tool to remind him to pray and if he doesn’t have time it just keeps him on the right track by reminding him to stay close to god. The app is really easy to navigate and a really cheap way to read The word of God.

Great value in many ways

One of the best apps I’ve come across: well designed, super easy to use and very comprehensive. Saves having the Brevery at hand or a missal in church. Great value at only one reasonable charge. Wouldn’t be without it.

Who would have thought…

Although definitely not the same as praying with the community it does the job in light of its portability. I’ve been using Universalis for a number of years. It’s been a great help in keeping me focused on taking a few moments during the day to stop and reflect.
This app is especially helpful in that I can take it with me anywhere. There are those times where carrying a book around is impossible

Much better than iBreviary

Unlike early editions from years ago, all the antiphons and prayers seem to be exactly according to the official breviary.

This app has completely downloaded all the prayers and options, so you don’t need a regular Wi-Fi connection to pray the office.

My only annoyance is that the drop-down menu to switch between hours (e.g. from vespers to compline) is in the same place as the iOS switch windows dropdown, which makes it easy to hit the wrong button. That’s rather annoying, but my only complaint.

Makers it so easy

It isn’t easy to find your way around the breviary and often needs 3 markers. But Universalis finds everything you need and arranged it for you in one place. Plus adds features like “About today”. Spiritual reading, etc. Plus a daily missal and all for a tiny price. Our whole prayer group is converted. A real blessing.

Review

It has everything I need and much much more. I really appreciate the commentaries on the readings. Who is writing them? Well done and that you for this app.

Mary

Every day I read through: the daily Mass readings, the happenings of the day and Spiritual reading. I then delve into other parts depending on my time available.
My knowledge of the saints and the Doctors of the church has greatly grown and as a result my walk with Our Lord and personal relationship is growing deeper. Understanding Jesus’s messages of how to love our neighbours is so much clearer.

Ease

Because my routine changes frequently, I like that there are audio options for most categories. I can maintain devotions no matter where I am which is wonderful not only spiritually but practically as I am often in locations beyond WiFi and cell phone signal. The readers are human and intentional. Mostly, though, I just read. There are long versions and short options for many categories. It has been simple to adjust the print size so that I can read and pray without my glasses. My young daughter loves singing Salve Regina at the end of playing the rosary. She loves praying the Angelus, too, partly because of this app. I think it’s because she can hear the voices of children praying with the adults in the audio versions. The app updates regularly and I have not experienced glitches within the app.
