Structural annotation

I'm a high school chemistry teacher, and this app would be a lot more awesome if you guys could add some sort of structural annotation key (i.e., what are all of these atoms we're looking at?) and/or a chemical formula to the page. Surely that information is stored on the database pages your app pulls from, and so could be integrated into the GUI? It looks like all of the same sorts of atoms are of similar color across models, which is great, so now all we need is a little guide people (e.g., students) could reference at will to remind them what the atoms are.

Otherwise, this is a fantastic app! Great work!

Get any molecule

Clean, logical interface with on line access to pubchem and protein databases.

Nice pocket jmol-like app

This app is very useful for quick visualization when jmol (or equiv) is unavailable or you are lazy and want the convenience of a handheld device. Super nice given that it runs on a phone and has quick access to PDB. High five to the guys who made this and props for making it under the BSD license.

Great Chemistry Supplement

I use this app along with some other apps when looking up different molecules. Great way to visualize what you're working with.

Interesting

This is a very interesting app. Great for learning about these atoms, especially if your needing it for work or if your interested in this thing. Easy to use controls and key. Very good images but unfortunately only six. Interesting at first but can be all looked over in under five minutes so....

Nice 3D renders

You can search and add your desired molecule and spin it in 3D to see its structure. Atoms are colour coded and there is a legend too. Very nice.

I would only add that you need to be able to sort the list of molecules you have acquired or at least have them displayed alphabetically to make it more useful.

Suggestion

Really enjoying the app so far. Any chance of adding the chemical formula?

Just what I needed

I can't believe this software is exactly what I taught my class just a few days ago. Great example to have shown them.

Fantastic!

This is an amazing app. It gives you access to an enormous database of molecules and gives you the option for a Spacefilling or Ball-and-stick model of each molecule. I currently study Biology and it' excellent even if only to help give an idea of the shape of molecules. The only problem I could find with it is that the molecules are very specific, so if you type in troponin, it will give you many different forms, which can be confusing to the layman. But overall, fantastic app! :)

Good, but room for improvement!!

It was cool to have the molecules in 3D and to be able to download them for later viewing. But there was no information about the molecule you were viewing or the elements that were contained in them. Another good thing to add is the chemical equation, and an ordering system for your downloaded compounds eg; salts, hydrocarbons, acids etc, so you don't have to be looking through a giant list of atoms that aren't even in alphabetical order.
Good app keep developing it!
