Can't handle the csv file I have
This app is a nice idea. Unfortunately it can't handle the 20mb file I threw at it. Now I'm going to have to get Xcode out and do it myself with some clever caching. If they can sort this out then I'll up my rating.
Great basic utility
For people who can't find the search, scroll up a bit when you're looking at your list of records - the search is at the very top.
Also, in case you missed it there are quite a few customization options (for layout and data) available in your Settings app - a lot there to dig into if you're into tweaking or have special data needs.
I was printing my address book as a PDF from FileMaker Pro and reading it in GoodReader, but this is much, much better. It has me thinking of other basic data I might want handy, because this tool just works makes things very straightforward.

I'm only using it to see files from dropbox and it works even better than i thought it would. (edit's out info i dont need ie: isbn.) Thank you
Very Handy App
Does exactly what it claims and works great. I have spreadsheets for everything and this is an easy way for me to get them into my Touch. I maintain my booklist in a spreadsheet and I was so glad that I was able to import this into my Touch. The support/troubleshooting pages were very helpful when I had a couple of spreadsheets that showed up blank. Didn't realize it, but I had multiple columns which had the exact same column heading, which I quickly fixed - and this fixed the problem of viewing the file. Great App.

Great for Excel spreadsheets
I was using an old HP PDA and moved to an iTouch. I've been looking for a way to continue to use several Excel spreadsheets and CSV Touch works perfectly, if you don't need to update on the iTouch. It took me a while using the Lite version to figure out how to move the spreadsheet successfully, but once I did that, I purchased the full version. I miss the PDA automatic sync, but the process of refreshing the spreadsheets is an acceptable compromise. Great app.

Two shades if being perfect
Great app and even greater potential. Similar to another post would love to be able to insert text into a field and also the ability to select a value or customized text from a drop down box or scroll wheel. These two important features 'if added' would receive 6 stars from me and the willingness to pay double for the app! I will wait patiently. Cheers Nick.

Absolutely dire
This app just doesn't work on the iPad. Tapping on the buttons does nothing and the layout is a joke - the onscreen keyboard pops up over the URL box.
I doubt if the coder even has an iPad and is coding 'blind'. Should never have been accepted into the app store.
The iPhone version at least works but is completely unfogiving and hard to use. I eventually was able to load files by generating links from DropBox. Probably only for hackers.

Like It
This is the closest thing to a replacement for JFile for Palm OS. It works, but you have to pay attention to formatting in the spreadsheet ie. No commas in fields.
Would like to see the program format numbers with commas after importing. I suggest you look at JFile for future feature upgrades.
Keep improving and you'll have a really handy app.

Nice App
Does exactly what I need. I love the fact that I can update the data with a single touch. It evens works better on iOS 4. The data stays cached and opens a 25,000 record file instantly (after the initial open). On my iPad using iOS 3.2, it takes about 8 seconds to open. I assume that's because the background processing is leaving the cached data alive on iOS 4. I can live with 8 seconds until iOS 4 is released for iPad. You can't go wrong for 2 bucks.

This is one of those apps that does one thing, but does it in a fuss-free, effective way.
If you have data on your PC that it would be handy to tote around with you on your iPad and you can turn into comma separated values, then this is the app for you.
It downloads my data swiftly and without errors: for example, I have loaded 20,000 records onto it from a native XML database and CSV Touch can search it more quickly than the original database can.
Highly recommended for the specific task it performs.
