Loyalty rewarded, Great data-based app
Great app and support
Organizes to my stores and very easy to use
They fixed it!
Although sadly “bugs” are often a common side affect when many different apps are updated, what is uncommon is their Customer Support’s prompt email response to my email complaint & their Engineering’s software “fixes”!
The app once again works the way I’ve grown to love and rely on. Now ain’t that nice!
Completely Untrustworthy, Bait-and-Switch Cheats
Now they’re still giving ads to those naive enough to give them MORE money (I am not one of those people. I did not and will never subscribe after their unapologetic shenanigans).
Oh, and they raised the prices, too.
——-
For everyone complaining about paying a monthly fee for this app and STILL getting ads, you should’ve taken a look at previous reviews and what these crooks did to their original paying customers who paid them money to get them going in the first place.
Longtime users such as myself paid for lifetime use, ad-free, and then later on, they put ads into the app unless you subscribe to a monthly fee. Yes, it’s only $1/month, but that’s not the point.
The point is these jokers CANNOT be trusted. So if you neglected to pay attention to what these guys did to their original customers, it’s your own fault you’re getting ripped off now. If they did it before, they’ll do it again.
I can’t believe Apple puts up with this from a developer. It’s nuts. We pay for one thing and get something else. I don’t even use the app anymore.
Response from developer
Dear fwoom, Existing app development and support effort is paid from ads or subscription which removes ads. You always can get the refund for your original purchase: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084 Thank you.
Subscription price hiked - poor support
Shame - we did enjoy using, the sync made it great for putting needed things in the list and being able to see if someone else had already bought them
Not very intuitive
Also not happy about the ad subscription, a rip-off.
However, it does the job and I haven't found anything better.
Still cannot see why I am not allowed to shop from all lists when going round the aisles. I don’t care which list it’s on, if I’m in the shop, I want to see anything that I have selected.
Still trying to force me on wrong shop it thinks I’m in. Disabled location services!
VERY DISAPPOINTED
I had to reload the app when I got a new iPad...and the perfect list on my iPhone? It went to the original “helpful”(insert rolling eyes) Master list. Regardless of what I wanted it to do
(I deleted the app, started over, told it to use group data, same thing happened)
It dropped a key feature
You can no longer search through your existing list to find things you have previously had in the list so you can by them again without manually scrolling through every single thing you have ever put on your list.
If they were to bring back the feature that lets me type “milk” and it brings up all the milks I’ve ever put on the list, and can then add 1 or 2 or however many items I need to by, I would once again be a very happy user of the app.
Response from developer
Dear Trislave3, The search is still available in any of your shopping lists (if the list has 5 or more items), and in the list of favorite products. If you have more details to report please send an email to support@grocerygadgets.zendesk.com or directly from the app Settings -> Send Feedback. Our apologies for temporary inconvenience.
