Its tough. BUT its fun! try it, after all, its free..
Also, there're no 'rules' as to what works towards a high score. Almost similar landings will sometimes give a score of 7000, and the next time, give a score of 3000. I've reached 9013, and have NO idea how.
Also, instructions, in short : because the app has none
1. Hold the phone horizontally flat
2. Tilt it slightly upwards for upward thrust
3. tilt left or right for.. left or right. simple!

FREAKING awesome.
This game is extremely intertaining. The first few times were lame, until I got the hang of it. My friends and I comptete to see who gets the higest score. And since its free..double awesome.
If its 'too hard' for you, get it to work on your fine motorskills
Impossible Adventure
I'm giving this 5 stars because the developer makes me wonder if the game is unbeatable and I tip my hat to any scoundrel that makes such a challenging venture.

A little fun, for free
This simple little game allows for very quick play. You crash? Well, tap the screen and you're good to go again. Sometimes less than five seconds for a successful landing. Challenge yourself to show better control and softer landings and your high scores will get over 9000. (My highest? 9980.)
No instructions? Well, holding the iPhone vertically, you tilt to the right to turn right and tilt to the left to turn left. That's the easy part. To fire the main engine -- and, hence, slow your decent -- tip the top of the phone towards you. To win, you have to land on the platform at the bottom of the screen. Slow and easy as you get very close to the platform, but don't burn all your fuel (as shown on the fuel indicator on the right side of the screen).
Try it. Fun. Easy to use. And in ten trials or less, you'll have landed.

great free app..... as long as u can do it!
ppl that cant do it must be pretty big quitters ( Please take no offence ) all it needs is a few trys and u get it spot on. its fun when u no u its easily possible! reason for 4 stars not 5's cause its really addictive but not as good as an app can get cuz some others are better. And if you don't like this try Apache Lander its similar you might prefer it.

Fun little app. The people that can't work it out crack me up, I guess it's also an IQ test!!
I got it after about 10 goes, and my high score is 4434, not bad, but someone with more patience could do better. Of course once you have mastered the technique and have a score posted you can then challenge others to try and best it - they'll be frustrated for a while!! :-)

explaining
you tilt from left to right to direct side to side..... when you tilt it backwards it stops flying up and losing power.... then you tilt forward at times to make it land softly.... you have to land it reeeeeeeally softly so like the first few times you just get annoyed that it keeps blowing up but soon you get the hand of it and its actualy a good game:D

Eh, not bad, but buggy
You have to start the game from the homescreen with the iPhone on a flat surface. Then, it still only works 5 out of 10 times.
Once it does work, you have to be extremely patient and skilled to get the ship to land.
Also, I'm confused as to how the scoring works. Fuel based or whatever...

I am sorry but the guy who put this on here didn't make it. If you were an iPhone dev then you would know that this was one of the example apps for the developers. If he would have altered it at least one bit I might have given it more than one star. Nice "effort." I hope apple decides to change their policy and not allow apps like this on here.

give it more than the typical "just a few tries" and the controls are very easy. I can land just about every time! Great free app!
