  • Total rubbish

This App almost leaves me speechless, it is that rubbish. Seriously, why do these people bother writing Apps, when they would be better suited to a job cleaning toilet seats. The money I guess! Anyway, I can't even enter the password, because the keypad does not appear. In all fairness, the keypad did appear once and allowed me to connect, but it was so hideously slow, it was unusable.
My other computers remote in fine using Remote Desktop for Mac and for PC, but not the iPad.
So glad I didn't pay for the full version!

  • It works!

Others I tried were very cumbersome. This product worked immediately by simply entering my IP and password. No download on my PC required. Works almost like Microsoft's Remote Desktop app. Very nice. After using it for awhile I'll most likely buy the paid version to get a couple of the other features. Thanks for a well designed product with excellent help and documentation.

  • Worked Flawlessly

On a recent business trip I elected not to take a laptop but after a few days I had an urgent need to access systems back at the office. I'd installed RDP Lite previously and used it for some small scale changes (reboot a server, start an application) but never for something as complex as what I had to do this time.

Well, it was simple to setup a new connection and the software performed flawlessly. In fact it performed so well that I've just bought the full version, not because I need the extra features - just because this is such a great app that the developers deserve the support.

    Thanks guys.

  • For windows 7 home users.......

I managed to get this working with windows 7 home premium, I'd recommend doing a search (I used google, other search engines are available!) for "enable rdp windows 7 home premium" and see the blog by Andrew block, great advice and links.

Obviously this is a totally unofficial "work around" and I'm sure the developers of this app would in no way endorse it!

  • Perfect, does just what I need

This is great, I wanted a quick and easy way to manage my local pc from bed (I'm lazy, so sue me) and this worked great!

Put in the pc name, username and password and connected fine first time! Better than some of the premium-ware versions put there forcing you to upgrade.
  • Easy to set up, easy to put in too much set up.

I have a users ( some say bluffers ) ability with the server 2008 and windows pcs, however this app just worked on my wife's iPad straight away I was connected to our company server, i bought my own iPad and thought it would be simple to set up, well it was a bit trickier until I realised that it had worked well on my wife's iPad because I left the settings standard other than the ip address.
I had to compare set ups to see my error. The fact is that it does work with the server 200x, I have not tried it with my work pc yet as I think I will have to set up a VPN connection an have yet to tackle that issue.
In short great app, poor help meanings twill be a bit marmite as you will either get it first time or think that it's a poor app.
    I think that if
Ts a great app but could do wit some buy in from non- techies.

  • Good stuff

Took me a while to work out you need to add a password to your log on the pc first then it works very well! I am going to purchase the full version although lite is good enough. iPhone screen is a bit small to work on (iPad would be good) but really handy nonetheless. Only used it via wifi so far so now looking for tips if using remote 3G.

  • Security

Has anyone else had a security question over this App? I installed it on my iPhone 4 & within 2 days of using it our server was severly hit by mulitple hackers. We haven't had it hit like this in many years. Anyone with similar experiences?

I have tested this several times & each time it happens. I am convinced this App has security issues somehow. I have given up using it. If you use it, be carefull.

  • Pocket cloud is better

Basic RDC compared to other app. Mouse feature in pocket cloud spoils you for anything else!
  • No scroll in lite version

I wanted to email a picture to a friend but I forgot it was on my computer. In 2 minutes flat I was able to remotely connect to my home computer and send the email to my phone. I couldn't be more impressed with it's stability and ease of use. This app is fantastic. I don't understand how someone could vote < 3. I give it 4 because no scrolling really detracts from it's possibilities. But then again this is the free version!
