  • Latest Update Is Huge Improvement

An impressive looking application that is simple to use. Now comes with more reviews built in, much better. Overall an excellent application. Nice to see it get updated on a regular basis.
  • need overall map

I have been going to Vegas for 40 years and am thrilled to find Vegas Mate. I find the information I have sought to be up to date and right on. With so many new casino's I still have a problem keeping them straight as to who is next to who. It would be nice if you provided an OVERALL map showing the location of all the major casinos on the strip. Otherwise great job.

  • Brochures are still your best bet for now

Just like everything in Vegas this program is overpriced for what you get and once you put your money in there is little to no return. Most of the #s I tried were outdated or incorrect. A "What's Happening Today" tab with the current days shows and events would be most helpful to anyone wanting a $5 program that is supposed to simplify vacation information. Restaurant menus would be a nice add on to this app too. For the most part I tried using this about 4-5 times on my trip and after that just got a brochure with updated information. A basic Yellow Pages search on my iphone was more helpful. Save your coin until this has some much needed work done.

  • Cute but no cigar

This is a great idea that just does not work. It is set up to be manually updated. They can take your money now and lose interest anytime. The database is already far behind the times. For instance there are 2 Arizona Charlies and they only mention one. The Southpoint restaurant listing is well over a year old. And on and on and on. Correcting these two examples will not make it right. If they do not have their stuff together now, how can they expect to provide a consistantly good product with updates in a town that is constantly changing. The Arizona Charlies mistake is missing a casino/hotel that is over 20 years old. You can pick almost any casino that you are very familiar with and find that this app falls very short. I would pay $25 for this program if it were accurate and useful. Today I find it overpriced since the magazines and pamphlets you find on every corner are more accurate. I wish it worked. It has features that would be useful. I can not imagine them ever catching up. If they did, keeping it updated just isn't going to happen. Don't waste your money.

  • Nice try but...

I'm in Las Vegas right now and I hoped to buy a useful guide but most reviews seem to be missing, despite a rating I can't understand because of the mentioned missing reviews.
This application has potential but it may require several updates until it proves to be a useful tool.
Some information also seems to be old and outdated, for example my hotel isn't finished(construction) yet according to the hotel guide and it has a three stars rating only but I would give it a 4 to 5 star rating.

The author needs to update this application as soon as possible, right now it isn't much of a help.
