Vegas Mate is Insanely Great
Where do I start…
I have been using Vegas Mate to help plan several trips to Vegas over the past couple years - but more importantly to enjoy the limited time I always have in town. This app is intelligently designed to address your Vegas needs before and during the time you hit town - by keeping you up on happenings with the news feed, by helping you to plan a trip and bring together exactly the things you want to fill your time with (you can even plan around things not listed in its very large database of options), and by showing you what's close to you when you are in town and want a food or entertainment option on a moment's notice.
So many times I have helped people in Vegas with questions or needs by just whipping out this app and finding the right information for them - whether a phone number or confirmation that the restaurant they want is still open.
The main thing that differentiates this app is Hunter who keeps making it better and better with every improvement he can cram in - like the latest "cloud integration" that will share your itinerary between all your Apple devices. It was always a good app - but in the past year it has become a great app. Nothing I know of will help you enjoy your time in Vegas more than this little $2.00 gem.
I have collected most of the possible Vegas app guides and resources out there - but nothing comes within a light year of Vegas Mate.

Crashes
I love this app, but now that I've updated my iPhone it will not open, it keeps crashing. The iPad update works fine.
Here's a follow up. I sent an email to Vegas Mate and they responded immediately. We have exchanged several emails in the last few minutes and they are checking out the problem. Part of my problem might be that my iPhone is still using iOS 4.2.8 (hate to go through all the hassle I had updating my iPad again on my iPhone).
The customer service is GREAT.

A little piece of Vegas in my pocket!
I'm not a diehard gambler. I do not do the club scene. Spa treatments are not part of my routine. That being said, I am still in love with Las Vegas! We only get out there once a year, but Vegas Mate keeps me posted daily. Sure I use it as a travel guide when I visit Sin City, but I use it a lot more at home when I want to see what's happening at my favorite places. Ideal app for Vegas

This is THE Vegas app.
After 5 trips to Sin City this is my go-to resource when I'm there.

Best Vegas App!
Just got back Vegas and tried several apps. Vegas Mate, was by far the most complete and comprehensive app. The best feature IMO, is the fact that it shows full menus and hours for each place. Helpful getting Around
I liked that the app would list all the restaurants and bars found in each of the hotels. Saved some endless wandering around. and I loved the maps of some of the casinos, so easy to get lost in some of them. Also the list of the polker tornaments by day and time was very usefulkat.3
Good for the first timer or...
...the fiftieth.
I go to Vegas about six times a year and feel I know the city inside out. Nevertheless, I still find Vegasmate an invaluable resource. It's a great tool to find new places I haven't tried, check out updated restaurant menus, or find numbers of resorts quickly when you're on the go.
