Good game, but...
Not happy there are 3 versions of this game... Why did I buy this, if I can just get the lite version or why buy the regular version if there is a deluxe version... Annoying.
Pricy but addicting
I don't know why I keep playing this a lot. I'm not a big golf fan. I guess it's sorta like Tecmo Bowl like. My one friend doesn't care for football but plays Tecmo Bowl like crazy.
As for the Deluxe, it should be an update for a small fee, if one already has this version, but I really wouldn't put all the blame on the seller, Apple needs to come up with something to check if one has a certain version.
My only complaint is when saving a game and then resuming it forgets time of season and ball color.

The best golf game game on the Mac comes to the iPhone. If you are unsure about the game play and graphics just try out the demo for the Mac.
It will give you a good idea of how this game plays. One thing i would like to see in a future update is to keep the sound effects but turn of the crowd noise effects.

Almost perfect.
So addicting. I don't even play real golf. After the recent update, screen hiccupps during the power up for a shot. Kinda aggravating.
Would of course like to see more courses. Wish the ball would react to terrain a little more realisticly. Like, when I am four feet from a tree, the ball shouldn't hit the tree. When I putt uphill on a right bank slope, the ball shouldn't "coast" uphill for 3 yards.
Other than that, it's perfect. Love this game. Buy it!!!

Good golf sim
Not a bad game at all, nice choice of courses with weather and daylight options, plays nicely too.
This is a great game
The more I play this game the more I like it. The graphics are not state of the art but it doesn't matter. They are good enough to make the game enjoyable to play. The game is easy to play on the easy level. When you get really good at that level you can make it harder. The controls are very intuitive and the sound effects are really cool. I love when you get a shot very close to the hole and the crowd all goes "woooooo". I highly recommend this game. It is my favorite so far. And, by the way, I saw some people complaining about not having a grid on the putting green. It has been added since that review.

Courses too boring
No dog legs, not enough trees, just bland boring straight links style courses into which not enough effort has been put when it comes to design. They are all too samey and you will soon get bored. Too pricey for what you get. Worth about £2.99 unless they update with more interesting courses.

At $8 I feel like I payed a little too much. The gameplay is great and the graphics get the job done well. I wish they would implement stat tracking in a future update. I've spent hours with this game and have really enjoyed myself aside from a few instances when attempting to putt on hills. I may be dreaming but I would also love to see some local wifi and real wifi multiplayer added in an update. Even though the four player multiplayer works just fine passing the device around. Good effort!

great game of golf
For me this is a enjoyable golf game. I'm sure the developer would do better (both in terms of sales and reviews) at a lower price point and I would like future updates to include some increased gameplay (maybe 2 player matchplay, a tournament option with a mock leaderboard giving you a score to aim at - as used in many other golf games). Overall though I am pleased with my purchase.

Great Game, Great Depth, but where is the 3rd click on the swing?
This game is great in so many ways, so i'll just creat a list of the pros and the few cons to help the potential buyers.
Pros: Depth, Quality, Number of courses, Physics, Ability to save game, Ability to adjust game length, weather, etc...., Playability
Cons: Only 1: You only get to choose how hard to swing and where. There is a double click to start the swing, and another click to choose how hard to hit, but there is no 3rd click to decide how accurate your swing was. Thus your landing position is only affected by where you aimed, the wind, and the power of your swing. I'm a big fan of computer golf games and I loved Links Golf and Tiger woods, both of which allowed a "3 click swing". This single change would make the game a little more difficult, but a lot more entertaining and give it more depth and longevity. Programmers: Please add an option for a 3 click swing. There should be a green line or area on the left side of the swing meter. Missing the "green" area after you've chosen your power by clicking too early would cause pull/draw, and clicking too late would do the same. Would this be possible??
