Yammer is the first and only social media I’ve accepted to be a part of. I don’t even have a Facebook page. Getting information from within my company and being able to share my views on an internal platform is really good for me. Love it. Totally recommend it to new coworkers and help them sign up and get started. Better than email

Another social app?
When my company decided to introduce Yammer I thought we don’t need another social networking app. And I still hold that view. But what yammer is really useful for is finding out answers to company related questions and queries. Being able to have different groups for specific departments and topics cuts out all the extra stuff I don’t want to know.

Almost there
There are a lot of things right with this app, and a few small annoying quirks that make it that much more difficult to get work done on iOS. Speaking mostly about the iPad app here:
Split screen will not work on iPad: you have an iPhone version, so why do we not have the ability to use that in multitasking view?? Split screen does not work at all currently.
File downloading: I commonly download JPG & ZIP files to the files app on iOS, yet for some reason ZIP files are “unavailable” on mobile through the app. If I go to the web I can download, unzip, and retrieve the files right from my iOS devices. Why is the Yammer app the hold up here? The ability to save any files (no matter which format) to Dropbox or the files app would be GREATLY appreciated!

Ditch group work emails
Yammer is a far more efficient way to see what is going on and keep up to date. Conversation threads are seen by all members in the order they happen - no need to read backwards for history. Of course private threads are also possible. Notifications can also be tailored to stay updated on your phone, tablet or desktop

Enhance communication and info sharing
Yammer in general has helped me to ask questions and get information otherwise won’t be available within my company, which is terrific! The only suggestion/problem I have is that it doesn’t allow for customization of how the groups are listed on the page.
Pretty Cool
This is pretty useful for me and my friends to chat outside of school if we don’t have each other’s phone numbers and my school can keep up to date w/ everyone so 10/10 would recommend.
Effective!
I recently rolled out yammer for our organization and it’s very affective for communicating and collaborating across the organization. And this app gets it done good enough. Could the app layout be better? Sure, but it doesn’t slow me down.
Great for our organization's networking
Our URJ Yammer Network is a great, easy to use service. We are able to set up forums on various issues and have many conversations flowing simultaneously.

I find Yammer an alternative and easy way to network within the large organisation that I work for. If it weren't for Yammer, it would be a lot harder to keep up to date with new policies and practices, what other departments are up to and generally is a decent tool.
I find it a great way of quickly finding the right person to contact in various different departments in our organisation and being able to easily contact them directly, publicly or privately.
When working within a large organisation, it is often hard to try and find the right person or even department or advice and by using Yammer, it's easy!
By using Yammer, I find I am always one step ahead of my local team on new innovations/policy/news etc and know who to contact for various issues - yet I have worked for our organisation the least by many years, compared those who I work with in my local team.
