Incorrect advice

I am concerned this app doesn’t provide parents with biologically normal infant sleeping advice. I find it would be more beneficially if the founders of the app reviewed some of their advice and perhaps offered alternatives to suggested sleep training. It is never a one size fits all. Unfortunately, the forums can be very judgemental and not much moderation occurring which can make it hard to request advice.
I wouldn’t bother downloading this app, I don’t believe it has a supportive community approach or presents parents with correct (compiled and controlled researched studies) about different aspects of babies sleep.

Awesome App

Loved using it during my first pregnancy to keep track of everything and love all the extra articles and bits and pieces that pop up as well as the community groups

Bullied off the app

It has cool week to week updates on how your baby is developing but so do many other apps. The discussion boards are supposed to be a place where you can talk from one mom to another and get support. Instead it’s a place for keyboard warriors (some who aren’t pregnant) to harass, bully and curse at you. No hormonal expecting mother deserves that treatment from strangers. I was excited to connect with other moms at first but it turned sour fast. There is no way to delete a post you make or a comment. So you just continue to get bullied and the app does nothing about it. When I went to delete my account there is no button to do so. You have to email their support team and it took two days. I told them that I was being bullied and mentioned that there should be a delete button on the discussion board and for your account without the lengthy process and they ignored me, even though in the email they sent it said “ If you any further questions, please don't hesitate to reply and let me know.” Don’t get this app. I suggest downloading Baby Center.

Censorship

Great app unfortunately you can’t be conservative without getting your comments deleted.

It’s a good app

I enjoy this app. I like to get on once a week to see about the size of my baby.

I don’t really care for the articles because they don’t seem to have an algorithm that tailors them to your week/trimester/due date season/etc. the community board is nice.

I don’t understand how the posts are managed... for example I clicked on a post about due dates that said “5 minutes ago” on the bottom corner of its tile when I started reading the post and comments I realized it was from 2 months ago! A way to filter (most recent, most popular, from WTE) would be nice!

Also when I’m on the community board, and occasionally on the home page, I accidentally click videos. There isn’t a way to quickly back out. I’m either forced to watch an ad before I can close the video or fully close the app and lose what I was looking at. I would like for an option not to -skip- the ad but to close the entire video if I want.

Lastly I think making the home page more personalized would be nice (tailored articles, reviling baby facts through the week, wives tales, funny articles, links to associated blogs/vlogs/websites [not just registry], the ability to link profiles with due dates near each other!) as well as being able to like posts and comments and to follow/friend profiles of Moms.

This app could be much more, but it’s a good beginning.

Love this app !

I’ve been using this app since I first found out I was pregnant. I love being able to know how big she is, what’s going on with her growth & inside the womb & what’s going on with my growing bump as well!
My favorite part of the app would definitely be the community tab - if I have a question about anything, I can always make a post with my concern or can find other past posts that were regarding the same issue i’m having. Sometimes during pregnancy, you definitely can feel alone, & I feel like the community tab definitely helps those feelings subside when you see just how many other women are going through exactly what you are. Especially when you join a topic for your due date month! I’ve met so many different girls who are due either on the same day, or same week as I am & it makes me happy to know that I’m not the only one experiencing this or that.
Definitely would recommend this app to anyone who is expecting, even the S/O or a family member can join the app to see your progress too! (A plus is that you can continue to use the app even after your baby is born, the community topics extend far past postpartum too!).

Skinny people used in photos

Come on guys, this is unacceptable. Please get some reasonable looking women if you’re going to use models - not skinny ladies

Peace of Mind

I have never written an app review before, this is my first. However, this app is so amazing I had to say something! I cannot believe this app is free. I found out I was pregnant at 28 weeks and I am just 20 yo so as you can imagine, my pregnancy was not planned in the slightest. I had no idea about babies and was freaking out. Finally, another young mom recommended I download this app. It was very helpful during my pregnancy to track baby’s development and for me to keep track of how far along I was for when I was asked at appts. The community chats were also very helpful when I was anxious or had any questions, they made me feel like I wasn’t alone. I thought once my baby was born I’d be deleting the app but boy was I wrong. I go on this app AT LEAST 3 times a day for my own pleasure (read articles, explore features, join chats, etc). They recently added a feeding tracker feature. I knew I wanted to put my baby on a feeding schedule and this app makes logging feedings so easy. I am truly in love with this app, and will continue to use it for a long time.

Helpful, practical and easy to understand

Used this app throughout pregnancy and loved the week by week updates but also the range of extra articles and info to browse through and the videos to watch - you can choose to engage as much or as little on the various subject areas. Love the informative but friendly tone and presentation. Using it still now bubs is here and it’s not quite so helpful, but I am still enjoying the little updates and reading materials!

Very Informative and a lovely Support Network

In very early pregnancy we are told we shouldn’t tell people we are pregnant. This puts a huge amount of pressure and frustration on women as our bodies are changing, our hormones are raging, and most of the time we are just plain terrified of losing the pregnancy. We have so many questions and so few people to turn to. The app itself provides lots of really useful information and the community section is active 24/7 so there is always someone to talk to.
This platform provides an anonymous, non-judgemental and widely experienced group of women from all over the world, sharing their feelings and experiences. I would be quite lost without it.
