This app chews up battery charge in less than a day. Deleted it.
I will miss this App. Loved it
I travel constantly for work. It is very useful for finding what’s around me- restaurants, etc. I just opened it to find a place to eat in the city I am in today. It now says there is a new weather feature and it needs to have the always access enabled. It only brings up a button to grant access. There is no option to select not to and you can’t use the app without granting access. Seems deceiving and I don’t trust it.

This APP is cool!!!
I recently took a vacation without knowing too much about the surrounding areas, and what to do. This app had a lot of points of interest, and was very helpful in locating shops.
This app has brought up points of interest that I probably would have never known of.
I recommend it.

User-hostile
“Offers” users a daily weather function requiring Always Allow location access, and has no button for the user to dismiss or decline the offer. I already have a weather app so I suspect they must be hoping to sell location data about me to their customers. Deleting the app now.
GREAT APP!!
By far the best of this type of app!! Always use it to find petrol, coffee, food & services close to me & it never lets me down. Fast & accurate!! Love it!!
Privacy is not an option!
Upon opening the app after this latest update, I’m presented with a screen boasting about “AroundMe Weather” that will present weather alerts every morning. In order to do so, your Daily Location needs to be granted Always Allow Permission. The only option to touch is “Grant”. There’s no way to decline. (Yes I know I can go back in and revoke the permissions or set it to only while using the app, however not having additional options is scummy and skeezy!)
Thankfully I found a way around this, a wiggly little grey circle with a black X in it.

App forcing you to have location on always
This app update won’t work unless you give in to having the app run in location services on always now. If you have it set to when using the app you can’t get past the screen that asks you to grant permission for this, it seems like they’re trying to circumvent apples privacy protection settings. Sadly this app will now be removed from my iPad and iPhone as I won’t be forced to use a weather feature I don't need and hand over my location 24/7

When in doubt, stick you phone out.
Around me is a very useful app, especially if your a person who travels a lot for work and needs a quick overview of what's in the area. I can find the nearest gas station, the coffee shop, or even a bank if need be. Coupe this with google maps, and you can't go wrong!!
Can you please fix the bugs!!
I've been using this ever since it was first released and it started out great, I even brought the pro version because I felt they deserved as much cash as they could get for all their great work... and then the bugs crept in. The previous release just crashed all the time. This release doesn't crash but I still can't get to map view of locations from the list view! Can u please test your releases properly and fix the bugs and then I'll go back to giving u 5 stars! Thanks

Pretty good overall
Generally it is pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised when I searched for a type of business NOT included in the provided listings and the app found quite a few "around me".
However, I did find that if I didn't use the "correct" search term, I didn't find any. For example, I was parked outside a closed pharmacy and tried to find another nearby that may have been open but the app didn't recognise "pharmacy". If I hadn't been looking at one at the time, I would maybe not have realised the necessity of making sure the app looks for what you are looking for.
