Guidelines?
TA says they have guidelines but in actuality, there is so much abuse and false reviews on this site, the people are not getting a true story. They allow hurtful reviews that aren’t true and when they are disputed, their response, if any, is that they found nothing wrong. Reviews that have nothing to do with the establishment being reviewed. Just random smear tactics. There are many establishments that pay for reviews and TA turns a blind eye to them. When an abnormal amount of reviews are posted in a short period of time with all of them being first or second time reviewers and similar dialogue, TA should know better to let them go on. All being done to bury a bad review or get a higher rating. It’s so obvious for people in the business but not to TA. I know this as I have been approached by these fake reviewers. They sell five star interviews and spread them out over a week or two. It’s absurd. They’re easy to spot if you look closely. Advertise with them for high rates and you become a “Travelers Choice”. Why are you a top choice? It’s not based on reviews but if you advertise with them. Another misleading issue for their readers. It would be a great thing if there were, in fact, guidelinesBetter than barbacoa
Four of us had a dinner after going to the cinema for a first time at this new eatery in Eagle. Driving up, you could see similarities and certainly the doors and a lot of the interior treatments are reminiscent of Barbacoa but cleaner and simpler
The view to the pond that it sits on is spectacular from the moment you walk in the door and the Chyhulyglass light in the main dining room, is very simple, with main class, being opaque, and the sea creatures in color. Definitely would like to see it at night where it would show up even more
Two people had the fish and chips. One gentleman had the scallops and I had their baby back ribs and all were quite delicious. Although the scallops were not a hit, but I never tried one, but they did look very good. definitely would like to go perhaps, it was suggested that instead of going to Chandler for Christmas Eve dinner, we might stay a little closer and eat at Coa delDelmar for Christmas Eve this yearFree walking tour with martin
We met our tour guide, Martin, at the opera house. At exactly 10:30 Martin gave us an introduction. Martin was using a small speaker that could be heard by our very large group, over 40 people. During the introduction Martin stated that he would explore the recent political history as well as the history of the city from the 1500s. Before we began walking, Martin informed us that we were considered live targets for the vehicles in Buenos Aires and therefore we had to keep our heads on a swivel.
During the tour, Martin would express factual elements of the political system, as well as the financial issues within the country. When he was speaking about the history of Buenos Aires and the indigenous people, he spoke factually. I appreciate the fact that he was speaking to us with fax, not opinions, but he would express other peoples opinions, both right, and left as written in newspapers. It was very eye-opening for us. The tour was a total of 35 blocks long or 3.5 km or little over 2 miles long. It was a very enjoyable three hour tour. When we stopped for discussions. Martin would always find a shady spot for us. We did have a break during the walk.
Overall, I would give this tour a 5 star rating and highly recommend Martin for this tour.
