A Joy to Use
I needed an app for my computer repair business. The app's designed focus on services with easily calculated hourly rates drew me to it. The simplicity of its interface really makes it a dream to use. Every interaction quickly and painlessly accomplished what I needed it to do. The interface obviously closely follows Apple's guidelines for the iPhone. Unfortunately, I cannot yet rely on it for every invoice in my business. The dealbreaking missing app features I am looking for are, estimates, interfacing with iPhone printing apps like eurosmartz Print & Share, and hand editable HTML templates for the invoices/estimates. This app has so much promise! I hope everything comes soon enough.

Awesome: Perfect for freelancers
A great app that covers all the details of logging work for clients with the ability to group work items into invoices for emailing to the client directly from the app.
Only complaint would be to have more contact fields for clients, eg website, phone, position but this is a very minor gripe. Customer support was brilliant. I had a question after I first bought the app which was answered less that 5 mins later!

Great
Great app I use everyday I am sort of a McGiver type contractor work alone most of the time. This app let's me do all my billing, and the invoices look allsum. I would like to see an estimating area by project just like construction pro cal. for wall & floor area, roof area maybe even paint & carpet area. I bought quickbooks pro pc and quickbooks pro mac, I do not even use them yet not worth the time yet being only one guy. I also bought sister app that allows me to accept credit cards. buy this app no matter how much it cost you will save hundreds.

Very powerful. Straightforward. Easy to use.
I didn't know if I should buy this app. I looked at it for a couple of days but the utter lack of reviews both on iTunes and on the web made me cautious. Boy was I wrong to be. This app is GREAT! Easy to get set up and very powerful in its simplicity. If you are a freelancer who needs to keep track of billable hours, this app is a must have.
There is no hype in the description. You can enter your own clients or grab them from your contacts. It is easy to make lots of different pay scales for different job types and you can email directly from this app. The invoice template looks great.

Not perfect, but darn close - and the support can't be beat.
Buy Timewerks if you're a mobile professional who needs an easy-to-use client-time tracking and invoicing system.
I've used several time & billing products over the years. Typically they're missing a key function (time vs billing) or feature (no way to track payments against invoices). As a result, I'm a very demanding customer and Timewerks is very good (even if not perfect).
Timewerks has all that one needs to start quickly tracking and invoicing clients: project-segmented time tracking; invoicing across projects; contact-connected clients; project-level billing segments (ie: on what basis does one project get tracked versus the others); even the ability to export directly to your computer via a built-in webserver. In addition, it contains many advanced features (such as the ability to apply current and pre-payments to any invoice).
Any application, though, is more than itself. It is also it's update frequency and the support you get from its developers. Timewerks is improving consistently through Sorth's exceptional responsiveness and adding features with each new release. In fact, I asked for two new features today and Sorth responded that they were already in the next version, which was close to submission. With these new additions, Timewerks will earn its fifth star.

Well worth the money!
As a small time independant contractor this app let's me consolidate several forms into one location. I don't use the credit card feature but tracking time and sending invoices works wonderfully (just to name two features).
Suggestions in the next update:
- under each project you should have a Notes field to write sown important information (eg. Garage door codes and special instructions).
- under invoices: it adds all the invoice amount together at the top of the
Screen. Instead of doing that, offer two pages: "unbilled" "billed" "paid" and add those up seperately. I don't need to know how much I've already been paid when I want to see what amount combined is pending.
- similar to the timer counting how long you work there should be a mileage counter for when you need to bill per hour.

Great app, easy and to the point
This app is pretty good. It's easy to enter works hours in and bill correctly for the exact time you worked. You can easily generate an invoice for your customer so that you can easily get paid. The app allows you to enter detailed descriptions about exactly what you did during those work hours thus further making it easier to keep track of what you did and how much you should be paid. I would highly recommend this app to anyone who does subcontractor work and is paid by the hour.

Fantastic...but one tiny fly in the Chardonnay
I have never written a review and I own a ton of programs. But I feel compelled to highly recommend this program.
The program is simple to use and the end product (the emailed bill) is exceptionally professional looking. It keeps the accounting straight with subsequent bills for your projects/clients. For example, if you had a bill today and created an invoice, the next time you bill under the project it will add the prior unpaid bill for a total balance. If the client gives you a retainer simply put it in as a deposit in the program and it will adjust the bills accordingly! Simple and a huge tome-saver. And here is the best part--immediate billing. No more taking time to do the bills. Billing is instantaneous!
Now for the pesky fly in the Chardonnay...NO PDF format....the bill is actually in the body of the email. If the developers could allow for a PDF email attachment as an option then this program would get 5 stars from me.

Worth every penny!
I have purchased this and other similar apps and by far TimeWerks is the best. It is very intuitive and also let's you access your records via local area network. A big plus over other applications. I would like the ability to attach invoices as PDFs and include my own logo in the invoice, but I am sure that will come in future updates. A well designed app that does just what I need. I would ask for the ability to edit existing invoices including invoice number. Great application with lots of potential to become even better! Works perfectly for me & appears to have been updated to correct many of the issues that other people have commented on.
I would like to see a pc companion app to pull down the data, instead of having to download each table as a csv. As it stands, if I want to run reports on the data, I will first have to import everything into either excel or a database app.
Even so, this will make my life SO much easier!
