Solid time and materials management app
I work in a consultancy and this app works great for managing time and materials. Possible improvements for my situation would be:
- quick access to a consolidated "timers" screen where I can see the timer for each project. I bounce between projects during the day and I want to start/ stop timers from the same screen.
- Add a setting to allow only one timer to be running at any given time. If I have timer 1 running and I activate timer 2, I want timer 1 to turn off and timer 2 to turn on.

Every Freelancer Should Give this App a Try
I've downloaded several dozen apps at this point, and this is one of the few that I use practically every day. Timewerks seems to have been really carefully thought out by people with a lot of experience juggling and invoicing multiple clients in the freelance marketplace. It's not the most intuitive at first, but once you get the hang of everything it really makes life a whole lot easier. You really can keep track of your billable time and invoice clients directly from your phone. It's incredible. Improvements to consider for the next version might be a greater level of invoice customization, invoice counter-reset, and a less ugly scheme. But, really, it's almost perfect. An great mobile invoicing solution
I initially purchased Timewerks and found it to be pretty decent, but noted some bugs and had other concerns (unattractive invoice colors, etc.). I emailed the developer who was extremely fast in responding/acknowledging the issues and let me know when the fixes were coming. Now, I'm finding the product to be excellent for what I need it for and am quite pleased with the purchase. It would be nice to be able to print out reports (ie: list of invoices over a certain date range, etc.) or at least be able to export that data as a .csv -- hopefully we will see this in an upcoming release. This is a quality app, allows you to juggle multiple clients and multiple projects. Tracking is well noted, very customizable. I'm was a little disappointed in the initial start up, but the help file is very useful in guiding through your first steps. I contacted the developer about a missing feature and received a personal email in hours responding to my request. Amazing. I think this program is currently solid, very useful and has a great deal of potential as well. It seems that the developer knows that and is genuinely interested in continuing its improvement. I'm an entertainment professional who does a great deal of contract work and despite the niche nature of my market, this program works great! This is simply one of the best apps I have bought. Well worth the price or even 2x. I have had several emails with the developer who is very prompt and dedicated to making this the best time-tracking and invoicing app period. I love this app for its simple yet highly functional interface. I could not have asked for more in a time-tracking app. If you are a contractor and need invoicing on the spot this is the app to have. Allows for items and hourly billing and sends a simple and professional invoice to the mail app for on the spot billing. This is already a great app and is sure to only get better. Fantastic
I spent about an hour trying to decide which app I would buy to keep track of the hours I spend building websites for clients, and I decided on this one. It is amazing. It allows you to not only keep track of hours spent on certain tasks that you can set different price points for, but it allows you to put in fixed fee items as well, AND best of all, Timewerks puts it all in a mini invoice that you can email to your client on the spot when they want to know where they are currently at with their account balance. Billing Made Easy
Thanks for the app! I'm a busy accountant on the go and I often times can't remember how long I was onsite (let alone billing rates and invoice numbers). This provided a simple way for me to track and bill for my time. The interface is intuitive and easy to use and auto populates the date. Notes are easy to add and appear on the invoice for client reference. The invoice that is emailed is a little plain, but it gets the job done (and has decreased the time it takes for me to get paid). It's great to be able to track if the invoices have been paid or not too. My only request is to be able to pick an invoice number to start from. I was a little disappointed when I emailed my first invoice and it was "#2". I use a four digit number that I would like to be able to continue from. Great relational database. Very intuitive. Love the ability to generate and send an invoice by email!
Requests:
1. Allow setting smaller increments of time tracked, like 1 minute. Please!!! This one is very important to me. **DONE**
2. Allow further customization of invoice format. (One currently can edit invoice within the body of email, before sending it, however.).
3. Allow setting the initial invoice number to something other than #1.
4. Allow a timer for a task. I currently have to use another app just to track the start and end time, then transfer the results to Timewerks. **DONE**Show lessDOS XP
Wow! Really nice.
I really like this app. I like to bill for work on the spot. That way some customers pay while I am there. But they want an invoice. THANK YOU Timewerks! I can create it on the spot and get paid right away. I like how responsive support is as well. I emailed twice with questions and got responses very quickly. One thing I noticed is it needs a way to set the invoice number. When you are emailing it you can change it, but it needs a way to preset it. Productivity breakthrough. Improve cash flow. Exceptionally well designed tool.
Simple. Intuitive. Productivity game changer for those needing to bill clients, but are frequently on the go. I experienced nearly zero learning curve in setting up a new client, a new client project, work items, recording some completed work, generating an invoice and emailing it off to the client for payment. Get some aging reports and non-hourly item pricing (so you can vary an item's unit price) and this thing will be absolutely perfect.
