Hippa Risk
I just downloaded this app for a new doctor that requires it. I was horrified to learn that an app that is supposed to HIPPA compliant requires patients to turn on notifications from the app in order to use it. That means if my phone is sitting out and my doctor sends a message anyone now knows I have a message from my doctor. While not huge the problem is this is completely unnecessary, and raises risks of larger breaches. I too am a healthcare provider, LCSW, so regularly use telemedicine with my clients and none of those require this. It makes me uncomfortable which is exactly what you don’t want for your patients. This is a bad app that should be avoided at all costs if you care about your patients.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hello, Thank you for your feedback; we take all concerns seriously and appreciate your perspective. We want to clarify that you are not required to accept notifications during setup. We apologize for any confusion caused by the wording on that page and are working to improve it in our upcoming release. You can deny notifications and still use the app. Regarding your concern about message privacy, there are several options available to address this. Firstly, you can deny notifications as mentioned above. Additionally, in our app's settings under "Terms, Security, and Privacy," you can turn off the "Show Message Content in Notifications" setting to stay updated without revealing message content in notifications. For further privacy, you can adjust your device's settings in Apple's native settings to show previews only "When Unlocked" or "Never." Finally, you can disable notifications entirely from Apple's settings or set yourself as "Away" within the pMD app. We want to assure you that our app is fully HIPAA compliant, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy for our users. We hope this information addresses your concerns, and you can choose an option that best suits your needs. Thank you, -pMDSuggestions
Our office has moved to using pMD for mobile charge capture. Can you please add some features to the app such as: color change or checkmark for completed/submitted charges so it is immediately clear on iPhone that the patient is addressed, clean up some of the misspellings for diagnosis descriptions, make the Internet/computer-based version more user-friendlyShow lessDeveloper Response

We are a healthcare company so got PMD to be HIPAA compliant. I found out the free app cannot delete old employees. I didnt think it was a big deal until a former employee engages in sending harassing messages on PMD after we removed her access from other areas of communication. Our admin had to call PMD and argue with rep, request a supervisor and explain the threat this was causing. PMD did eventually delete her access.Show less
