Great Pattern Recognition Tool
I have several nice guitar apps and this is the one I use most to practice scales with because it breaks the learning down into manageable chunks. Because of this it goes beyond just a mere reference. It's a unique learning aid!

Very easy to use and read
It's great that there is a scales app now that is actually very easy to read. Each pattern stands out on it's own and you just slide back and forward between the different patterns. I can see myself using this a lot. I also have the guitar toolkit but if it's scales you want to learn and practice, I think this app is pretty much the best.

Very good app. Get it!
Visually delightful.
Functionally simple, intuitive and highly useable.
Well done for making this app
I guess its programming skill that makes it seem so simple, easy and straightforward. I know it isn't, as other apps have not come close with functionality, style and utility
The big Q is one for me: will I finally crack this blind spot, ie making some sense out of the fretboard, understanding scales solos and modes and all that jazz (well blues at least)

Learn the guitar before you review
If you understand how scales actually work you would know that this program does what it says and presents the information much better than any other iphone guitar scale program to date.
Update ideas...
Not bad over all. However, it would be very helpful if the scale patterns could be organized with the notes in the order of the scale, and if the starting and ending notes corresponded with the scale, for example c major would be c d e f g a b c, instead of a jumbled group of notes. Could this possibly be corrected in a future update?

Does exactly what it claims.
I like this app for it's practical approach of separating the fretboard into easily memorizable patterns. This is essential for building muscle memory, speed, and confidence. Other, more traditional approaches map all the notes on the fretboard at once, which can be overwhelming.
I would like to see chords/progressions that can be used with each scale, or the ability to enter chord/progressions and get a list of scales that work.
