  • The World Factbook

What a fabulous reference to have on hand. No need to look up outdated book facts anymore. Thanks and keep up the good work.
  • Keep the updates coming

With regular updates this promises to be a brilliantly usefull app. Thanks guys
(prehaps a way of quickly comparing different countries on a selectable variable eg. Population, GDP etc.)
  • It's GREAT!!

I think this app is truly a amazing and well worth the money. But to the developers could you in the next update maybe have the country that a territory belongs to instead of having to go into the introduction and reading all of it and trying to find out who it belongs to. Could you also maybe have the information on the four countries that make up the United Kingdom, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and England. As I said this app is amazing with alot of good detail.

  • jDictionary v. Fuzzy Peach

I own two $0.99 world factbooks (jDictionary & Fuzzy Peach) and find them both EXCELLENT in information, layout, ease of use and constant data updates. I use both apps but slightly prefer FP. The following are their differences:

jDictionary Mobile - search is hindered by keyboard, making it difficult to scroll; has bookmark feature; returns to last page visited when opening app

Fuzzy Peach - excellent search & scroll; no bookmark; white font on black background; has world rankings

  • The World Factbook

Gives stats on most areas of interest eg: currency, population, political systems, maps & national issues etc. Would be useful for travellers and is of general interest to others.
  • Good but not great

Could do with a scrollable world map, allowing you to browse regions. I don't like that looking at the map of a particular country doesn't let you scroll around to neighbours and further. At the moment you need to know which country to search for, rather than exploring the globe and seeing where it takes you...

Tapping a country name in the map would take you to the country's page.

  • Nice, but other world factbook app is better

This app is nice and very informative, but there is a new world factbook app that is much nicer and has more information and features than this one for the exact same price. There is even a free lite version. All this app allows you to do is search for countries. The other one let's you do that plus search based on different criteria. Check out the other app before buying. I'm dissapointed I bought this one before I discovered the other app.

  • About right

I've been looking for a replacement for World Wiki Plus, which I doubt will be fixed for 3.0. This is a little above average for the CIA World Factbook apps. A nice plus is the Google Maps link (it would be even nicer if we could go right back to the app, Apple). The only thing I didn't like is that the only way I could find to get to the list of countries is the search icon, which brings up the keyboard. I like to scroll through the list, and have only half a screen to do it.

  • The most Informative App on iTunes

This is the App that has replaced my 2001 atlas!!! Very useful and full of info I'm sure all of us would not know. I will go as far as saying it deserves an award from Apple for "The Most Informative Application".
  • this app is awesome

This app has so many facts and information about various countries at just one tap. :D It is completely useful and is very accurate. Useful for the treatment of boredom, for showing off and the improvement of one's general knowledge. I highly recommend it as it is worth every cent.
