Naver Webtoon previously edited a certain gesture that many Korean male readers claimed symbolized a Korean man’s ‘that one'—a gesture that looks as if one is pinching something with their fingers—replacing it with other poses in all webtoons. Recently, however, they released a webtoon with an extremely inappropriate and misogynistic title that I can’t even write here due to its explicit nature. Female readers requested a revision of the offensive wording, but Naver Webtoon ignored the request. When female readers began boycotting the platform, Naver Webtoon’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) mocked both the boycott and the female readers. This post was later deleted without any formal apology, once it became controversial.
I demand an official apology on X and appropriate action to address the misogynistic language. I deeply regret spending money on Naver Webtoon, and I will not use the platform again until this matter is resolved.

Omg misogyny is real
The company's app supports misogyny. They accept men's comments 🤏 that gestures is hate man, but they do not delete webtoons that contain misogynistic content.

I've spent years on this app dating all the way back to my childhood, but the misogyny that continues on in this platform especially with the recent refusal of releasing a statement or taking down the trial webtoon with the main term of its title insinuating the gang raping of women makes me sick to the stomach and impossible for me to continue to support. There are so many other platforms to choose from. Do better. 불매합니다. 잘하세요.

Platform run by misogynists.
I'd give it zero stars if I could. There are webtoons openly revolving around disingenuous interpretations of r*pe culture terminology and spreading hate against women without any restrictions, and in all of my life, I have never seen so many disgusting remarks and such a variety of slurs specifically directed towards women in the comments sections of certain webtoons; they were all kept up too, without any issues. This is unacceptable.
