Lazy App Store sneaky developer?
The App Store states this developer is required to provide details related to privacy when they update the next version of their app in the App Store. This is a very misleading statement by the App Store to customers. The version of the app for sale has not been updated in years, in fact it’s not an App at all. After I bought it and opened it, just a page directing me to the website to down load the latest version. The website is just as vague, but most notably there is no privacy statement of assurance there either. What’s more troubling is the App Store page where this app is for sale - the develop states “now compatible with IOS 16” Isn’t information by definition stating the app has been updated???
Why isn’t the App Store across this underhanded ploy to avoid providing customers with a privacy statement? It is an incredible failure by the App Store given that to use the app, the provider requires users allow their app full unconditional access to all a users data! See for yourselves - it’s right there in the instructions!
There are no means of identifying the developer at all! If after using this app my data is at risk or has been compromised, be assured I will name Apple as vicariously liable in my law suit for damages and consequential loss. Note I have logged a copy of this report as an issue with Apple… let’s see what happens next, perhaps a class action 🤷🏼♂️Show lessIgibotsLot

Fantastic support for a great product
When I started having trouble with blank text fields in the export file, Fabrizio provided a scorchingly fast reply (on a Sunday!) and I was soon up and running again. Support doesn’t get any better than this.Steve1234567890
Works great once it’s set up
As others have set, there are some initial setup steps to do before you can export messages with this product. But for me at least, the steps were pretty easy to follow without any problems, and once I got it set up, I was able to export messages very conveniently. I had previously purchased another service for this that just couldn’t handle the size of some text conversations and would crash, but as far as I could tell, this app didn’t have any issues like that. Works as advertised
I bought the app, followed its directions, including installing its desktop app on my MacBook, and it worked on the first try.
I was able to export into a text file and a spreadsheet on my Mac a seven-year-long SMS conversation that existed only on my iPhone, Including message timestamps etc.
I could find no other, or more convenient, way to do this. The other apps out there want you to stitch screenshots - yeah right.
The filtering capabilities in the desktop app were very helpful, and I liked the choice of export formats.
I had a bit of a hassle turning off encrypted iPhone backups in iTunes, but that’s not the app’s fault.
The only reason I don’t give the app five stars is because it could use a little UI and documentation polish, and maybe be free :)
But it got the job done, and done well, in straightforward fashion.Show lessrps1963
This app has never failed me
Just do what it says and you’re fine. It’s not difficult to follow along. I think they made the app as simple as possible. I have been using it for many years. Only in my iPhone tho. It does what it says. I have never needed anything else. And yes I paid for it. No regrets.Edithhhhhh

Great App To Save SMS Histories
I exported sms histories in excel format text format and html format. Worked really well and is going to save me a lot of time preparing these histories as evidence for a legal dispute. A great investment and worth the purchasedovespirit
It doesn’t work at all and I followed the directions exactly
I wish I could get a refund. I download this on my phone I download it on my computer I made sure my phone was synced up with iTunes and I followed all of the instructions that this app told me to do but when I open SMS it says it cannot locate SMS files and I need to sync my iPhone. But my iPhone is synced so there’s nothing else I can do. I have tried about 20 times at this point and I cannot make this work. I’m just sad that I wasted five dollars.Show lesssufficatinginphx
