The latest version was made to FORCE ads down your throat. Ruined the game completely! Ad pops up during play, takes a while to run and no way to stop it. Please remove the ads.d1san
Good update!
The new update definitely made the game more polished, but it kinda makes me miss the old look of the game. The new background and fast-forward button is nice. The only problems are that the units' attacks become significantly slower when they're standing still, and that sometimes in the middle of the battlefield, the units stop a few feet from the enemies rather than stopping when they're right in front of the enemies. Another thing is that the space-age robots no longer make any noise. Otherwise the game seems pretty good!Show lessThe8thCharacter
Not very challenging, then WAY too challenging
The central problem with The Wars is that one quickly finds the level at which you can succeed almost every time, but advancing to win at the net stage is impossible (for me, at least). It's that simple. The game doesn't really allow for different approaches, and so there is little opportunity to vary strategies significantly. Winning every time is boring. A fun take on war through the ages
The purpose of the game is to create units that can roll over what the opponent throws at you, so that you can attack the opponents base directly. You gain resources from destroying the opponents units, and then use those resources to build your own units. It is a lot of fun to figure out what unit mix will deal with what you're facing at the time. As the ages move by, you have to strategize, as units get more expensive. Not perfect, but definitely a lot of fun for me.Show lesslvillalt

crashed only few times only when u buy alot of people at once like i do some times
Game creators add tons more stuff way to boring doing the same thing add like different timelines insted of 1 timeline. --------------------------------------------------CHEAT MODE: go to the red X next to cannon(where you sell base defence) put two fingers on the screen then hold for 2 sec. and then let go, it will have four buttons to push you find out what they are!Show lessSupahSenpai
Tough
The game is unnecesarily hard. About 20 seconds into the game the enemy can have 2 max powered turrets while still building units. The computer should have the same rules as the player. If there is no way i can have 2 turrets while building mammoths, then there should be no way the computer can... Especially not at level one difficulty.

Great fun
I love this game. Yes it's simple. yes it's easy. Would it be better if you could "bump" iPhones and play a friend? Sure. Could it start with bacteria fighting? Oh yeah... Could it end with bacteria? After aliens? Sure it could. That would be cool. But... That's not the point of this review. As far as me spending my money to purchase The Wars, I am happy. It's fun and gives me pleasure. Makes me laugh. If updates happen to add to this enjoyment of mine, then even better. 5 stars from me. Excellent.Show lessDamascus Cain

I've had this app for a few months now, and I'm still not tired of it!! It is fun and addicting because you can keep making the game harder. The only thing I want for this app is to come out with some more ages!! Maybe like romans or Vikings or civil war ages would be awesome!!! Please add multiplayer though!!!Show lessSpike-Jones
Addicting!
I thought this game was stupid at first, not reading any directions for anything. But after I played it a few times, it became Extremely Addicting, I couldn't put it down. I started wining at Level 4, but Level 5 is very difficult. After a while playing you do develope strategies and methods for playing the different Levels. My advice keep playing! I've got an idea
Make a native american age or a civil war age a ww2 age even but really consider the native age like the bottom one with a spear then the second with a bow and arrow then the third with a French traded with gun then make a teepee or a wigwam for the base and bows and arrows for the turrents and natives launching things from the turrent spots and native American god spirits as the special attacking the enemy or buffalos attacking it's just an idea thoughShow lessuter93
