This game is fun but has ballance issues
I am really glad that someone decided to release an age of war clone. The disapointing part is that this edition is not as smart and balanced as the original. One example I have noticed you do not get what you pay for when you build the most expensive army class. In most cases two of the cheaper units can defeat another that cost four times as much. Also it is disapointing that the computer has an unlimited source or revienue. The computer will quickly build two turrents and still have funds for expensive units. Kinda takes away the exciting feeling of skill and stradigy the original had. To bad this is not a two player game to overcome this problem. I hope the designers recalculate hp and balence this exciting game in future updates. 2 1/2 stars out of five.Show lessSwift Mojo Hand
A fun, but challenging game!
I was first introduced to this game online. I think it's a Flash game or something. Anyhow, I really liked it. As soon as I figured out that "The Wars" was "Ages of War", I bought it immediately. I'm not sorry I did. At all. I don't play the game on anything higher than "Easy", but that's because I'd rather have more fun playing than panicking about my base. Great game, very fun, but it doesn't explain how to play. It doesn't give the controls. I'm a little confused on that. But for 0.99 this is a great game!! :) I'm looking forward to an update. New levels, please? :)

Quick pace, strategy and core gameplay makes this a solid, fun title
Love this game! I've only played on easy so far, but that's been challenging enough. It's a good game to have if you have 15-20 minutes to kill. Basically, you are in charge of one warring faction facing off against another like it on the other side of the screen (plays in landscape). You can build defenses and troops, and as you kill your enemies you earn gold and experience. Get enough experience and you can advance through five ages, going from the stone age to the space age. Strategy is key. You have to manage your money, units and defenses in order to gain an edge over your opponent. But one thing you have that they don't is your secret, special weapon (which changes depending on the age). It has to recharge after you use it, so don't waste it! The quick pace, strategy and core gameplay makes this a solid, fun title. I never played Age of War myself, but I'm glad I stumbled upon this. Pros: Gameplay, gameplay, gameplay. Planned future updates according to description, including more defense weapons, more units, more ages and more difficulty options (gulp!). Cons: Graphics, small text. The game has dropped to 99 cents for a limited time. Don't pass it up.Show lessbrttrx
