iAds
Very annoying to read articles with distracting iAds. Who thought it would be a good idea to have ads appear at bottom of screen and then within articles at top. Using a shortcut to the website using Safari is a better experience than this.Timothy Raine

Great revamp
Overall the new app is leaps and bounds better than the old version. The only improvement that is needed is to allow videos within stories to be watched in landscape mode rather than only in portrait mode. Other than this issue everything else is working great. Good job.ryanbouvier
Average at best
I've used this app since it 1st came out & to be honest it's been getting steadily worse as time goes on.
I now use MDN via Safari on my iPad as the app is slow to load, notifications sometimes appear.
It's utterly pathetic that for a site dedicated to all things Apple that it still hasn't updated it's app to take advantage of the iPhone 5, 5C & 5S's larger screen size.
They obviously couldn't care less about there users.Show lessGMSheff

If you are looking for a way to describe this app "slow" comes to mind. I was going to say "jumps out" but that would be way too fast. The web site is slow but this app wins in the lack of speed category. And another thing did I mention that this app is slow? The only thing speedy about this app is how quickly I got rid of it.Show lessStereotaxic

Weak at best. Very plain and needs a major UI overhaul. Content very child's like. Very basic design. No iPhone 5 support and this is a Mac blog site? Shame.mritacca
Love It!
This app does a great job of presenting MDN's excellent news aggregation in a format that works well for iPhone and iPod touch - better than through the browser and well really helpful notifications - was pleasantly surprised when first saw the 'New Article' notification when I was in the middle of Reading what was the latest article just prior to the notification - perfect for keeping on top of news!Show lessahcas
MacDailyNews-iPad update: vastly disappointing
Such a disappointing update. It didn't correct any of the original problems with the app. I am unable to log in to the app. It requires completing name and email to make a comment EVERY time I want to do that. It is extremely slow to reload. The articles list does not refresh itself automatically when new articles arrive. The list also does not refresh itself when the app is relaunched. The app appears to be constantly loading something while reading because the progress spinner is constantly visible and spinning. Even when started in landscape mode, the app opens i portrait mode and then has to rotate. How clumsy! When I refresh the articles list, it shows all articles as unread so it is not always obvious what articles I've already read. Just too much effort to use.Show lesscptnpicard
Mac daily news
Tried out the new iPad version , not impressed. Articles can be accessed faster on Safari. Long delays while artices load. Gave up on this app. Shame really because the Website is very good ; pity the App does not match performance of the website.Stictlymac
Finally had to delete it
I loved the idea of this app, but it is so poorly implemented I finally deleted it after several weeks of perseverance. It regularly fails to respond to orientation changes, often just hangs with a busy symbol and is the main reason I have to cold start my iPad.
I have added a MDN feed to Pulse, which works well.Show lessRogerWeir
